Now that they are making a movie about the murder of Bob Crane from Hogans Heros, what is your pick for the best/worst
movie or biography ( A&E, E's True Hollywood Story ) made about a sitcom star.
The Lucy & Desi Home Movie by Lucie Arnaz I thought was very well done. The movie with Jeff Goldblum playing Ernie Kovacs I thought was good too.
However I cant say the same about Lucy&Desi Behind the Laughter and the made for tv movie that Mel Gibson did about The Three Stooges. A lot of stuff was left out in that one.

I hate the movie they did of Freddie Prinze's life. It's called Can you hear the laughter? It really sucked!

I was just going to say Bob Crane. Ever compare the Biography A&E did on him with The True Hollywood Story version? The latter was much trashier.

That was beautifully done. Nothing beats the perspective of the children of the subject. And in was very sweet, while at the same time was not avoiding obviously touchy areas.
Lucy&Desi Behind the Laughter
That movie was the biggest pile of trash I've ever seen (and I paid $17 for it!) They got obvious facts wrong, the acting was horrible (sorry, but Maurice Benard is NOT a good Desi Arnaz), and the whole thing just looked cheap.

The recent Lucy movie was adequate, but told the same old story.

The best biography story of a sitcom star on "Celebrity Profile" is Mary-Kate & Ashley, all the way!
