do they hurt?! i mean like when u first get them and get them tightened do they hurt A LOT or...?

and like how do they change the color n stuff? cos imma get them (wahoo :rolleyes: ) and i want to kno wats ahead for me.....!

but i have only ONE tooth that is kinda crooked (sp?) would they put like a whole mouthful on me of just like one metal thingy to straighten it? I see a boy in my school in 3rd grade who only has one on his 'crooked' tooth....!

Ok when they first put them on they didn't. They glue the lil metal things to your teeth then pop the wire in. Alls good

Then, when they start to work later that night, for me they kill. And when they get tightened, they either give you a new wire or shorten your wire and for me it kills again.

Colors- the color things are the lil rubber bands that go around the metal things. You usually get them changed every 4-6 weeks

well had braces for 4 years so i think i can be a help...

when they actually put them on they dont hurt. but they're sore after and its kinda weird to get used to. not that big of a deal.

they change color by changin the rubber band like karli said.

i think theyd put more than one on cuz if u have an overbite or sumthin...u'll need more anyway.

braces do hurt...*wen they're tightened or sumthin* but well...its worth it to have em

The first hour after I got them they didnt really hurt but then after that it killed! My whole mouth hurt so bad for about the next day and a half... I could hardly even eat. But then after that they didnt hurt at all. I really havent had any pain since. They dont hurt at all whenever they change the wire every six weeks... I dunno what people are talking about when they say "tightened" I guess they have never done that to me.

But anyways I get my braces off this Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't that awesome??????????? I can't wait!!!!! YAY!!!!!! lol :D

LOL ok I've had the wire changed then but I never had colors.. just plain silver so that might be why mine didnt hurt. Haha okay I will send a pic with my new smile :D

Ok...they killed the first like 2 days, and they kill every time I come home from the ortho. They kill when they cause sores in your mouth. And they kill till it builds up the calices(sp?) in your mouth. I kno...that sounds nastay...but your gums do get tougher...or they would be torn to shreds. NEwayz...u r prolly like...I REALLY don't want them...but they're not THAT bad. I must warn u though...advil, motrin, whateva u take...will be your best friend! :D

Yea...and your point?!?! I don't like the braces...but I luuuuuuuuuuuv the retainers...so it is worth it...haha!!!
