Nick at Nite has been around for nearly 16 years now, Has there been many shows that didnt make the switch from Nick to TV Land?

I remember when Nick started airing Ann Southern, Laugh In, Car 54, SCTV, and Saturday Night Live-Best of ( the latter three did turn up on HA and the early days of Comedy Central ). Route 66 and Jay North's
B/W Dennis the Menace aired of N@N also I believe NICK also aired Timmy & Lassie.
The Lucy Show was on NICK and that too made it Comedy Central, though for a very short time.

I dont think any of these shows ever made it to TV Land.

But I could be wrong as my local cable system refuses to put it on ( they think its a junk channel ) I had to go with Dish Network just to get TV Land. Not a bad idea, kinda cool to get all the superstaions ( WTBS, WGN, WSBK, WWOR, WPIX, KTLA ect..) plus all the Denver & New York statons here in West Virginia.

The only former Nick at Nite shows that I can think of that never made it to TV Land are:

The Lucy Show
Mork and Mindy
Dennis the Menace
Hi Honey, I'm Home!
Lassie
Flipper
The Patty Duke Show
The Donna Reed Show

oh I forgot one...KWGN-Denver's WB2. In our area both Dish Network & Direct TV also offer the LA stations ( just ABC,CBS, and FOX on Direct TV ). However to get FOX on dish it depends where you live. WE got lucky.
NBC is blocked because one of the two local stations here is NBC ( the other is Pax ).

However you CAN get Washington DC tv on dish here if you want it, but the local channels in DC/ Baltimore are so bad- thats my opinion.

DO wish Dish Network would offer Goodlife Network though. They DO offer Turner South but only to those who live "down south".

I forgot one...we get Denver's KWGN- WB2.

Where I live you get a choice, either the Washington DC channels or you can pick ABC,CBS, and FOX ( NBC is blocked due to the fact that of the two local stationes here one is NBC- other is PAX ) from either New York, LA, Denver, Dallas, or Atlanta. We have New York and Denver. Washington/Baltimore local television is bad in my opinion.

Direct TV only offers ( again in my area ) just the ABC, CBS, and Fox stations out of LA & New York only. No superstations other than of course TBS and WGN.

Both Dish Network & Direct Tv are very very funny on who can get what when it comes to network channels. Based on actual street address. Case in point one of our neighbors cant get FOX becuase according to Direct TV ( they are too close to WTTG-5, the Fox station out of DC ) yet WE can get it, though
only 7 houses are bewteen us.

I do wonder if what is TBS on cable/ sat. is the same as WTBS- channel 17 in Atlanta, or are they now different?

It is the same. When I was kid watching TBS, it was called WTBS channel 17 and it was on cable in most areas in TPA on channel 17 while cable companies had it on 7. I was in Atlanta on a trip and watch TBS and it is the same. Atlanta will everynow and then show the TBS 17 logo.

Now there's a bunch of shows I wish were still on somewhere. Especially Route 66. There's a grossly overlooked drama. Well, Laugh-In's on TRIO, but Dish Network doesn't give us TRIO! Why, oh, why do they think we need 10 shopping channels?

And I love the superstations. I watch KTLA morning news all the time. Why, I don't know, but I do.

OK, It is a year later . . . this list obviously needs to be revised.
Here it goes:
The Lucy Show
Mork and Mindy
Hi Honey, I'm Home!
Lassie
Flipper
The Patty Duke Show

Cool. Only two shows in the quoted list up above finally hit TV Land this year. 2 down, 6 left to go!

Well, hopefully, next year Mork and Mindy and The Lucy Show will be back on the air, although on Hallmark, not TV Land. Hi Honey, I'm Home was only on for like 13 episodes, I've seen some episodes, but I doubt it would ever show up on TV Land. Lassie/Timmy & Lassie/Jeff's Collie can all be seen on Discovery Kids. But isn't it strange how TV Land has never showed Flipper, Lassie, or Patty Duke Show? Or even Route 66. Strange.
