Does anyone remember this early 70's show? It was on Saturday nights between two of the great shows of the day.The lineup went something like this; All in the Family
Arnie
The Bob Newhart Show
Mary Tyler Moore
Carol Burnett
It starred Hershel Bernardi and Sue Ane Langdon.I don't really remember what the premise was.I have never seen it discussed here and was wondering if anybody else has ever heard of it?

According to "Harry and Wally's Favorite TV Shows" (a great book, if a little outdated). "Arnie" ran on CBS from 1970 to 1972, and the authors gave it two-and-a-half stars out of four. Here's the description:

"The intriguing premise of 'Arnie' is lost amidst the bland scripts of this average sitcom. Arnie Nuvo is a blue-collar foreman who is promoted to management as head of the company's product improvement division. Arnie feels somewhat guilty about leaving his old pals behind on the loading dock, but is excited about his new status.

"Charles Nelson Reilly is funny as Arnie's neighbor, the star of a TV cooking show, 'The Giddyap Gourmet', but what is the brassy Reilly doing in this generally low-key sitcom?"

Yeah, it sounds like it would have been out of place in that classic lineup.
