Has anyone here ever been? I'm going to NYC tomorrow and thought I might like to go there. Are there any Facts of Life things there? What's it like? Thanks.

Sorry to break it to you, but the Museum of TV and Radio is not a "Museum" in the traditional sense. There are no exhibits. What it is is a massive library with thousands of hours of TV and radio broadcasts in their archives. Unfortunatly you have to be a member to access the library.
They have lectures and screenings of various shows, movies and documentaries.
I've been a member for a couple of years, and I have to say they haven't had anything good going on there for a while.
Last year I went to a couple of screenings and a coupe of great lectures with the cast of "Ed" and the writers and stars of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and a lecture by TV writers, but since then, nothing much has been going on there.
They do have daily screenings of various programs, so you might get lucky if you stop on by.

TJL - I've read some stuff about it. Do you think it'd be worth my time? Um, what can non-members do there? Do you get to watch clips and whatnot from shows, or do you watch only what they are showing or whatever?

You pretty much get to watch only what they are screening.
You have to book time in the archives to view tapes.
The daily screenings are open to everybody, but that's about all Non-members can do.
I really don't know what they're showing this month. I haven't gotten a new bulletin in a while.
Sorry, but I don't think it would be a good idea to go there without knowing what's going on there that day.

Okay, thank you very much for that information, TJL. :) I appreciate it. I probably won't go there now, unless I find out what they are showing. Thank you for saving me from probably wasting my time. :D
