What movie (IN THE 80s!!!!!!!!) should of been made into a series?

I think Rain Man should of. That would of made a perfect example to NBC's night lineup!

I think The Running Man should have been a series. Now THAT would have been cool. Of course Damon Killian would have had to survive the ending of the movie, because without him, there was no conflict!

Of the movies you mentioned, I think Back To The Future would make an intersting sci-fi series, something like "Sliders" but with the time travelling elements.

I totally agree. Back to the Future would make a great series. If they would make a series, it should be a mixture of The Time Tunnel and Sliders (as TJL mentioned), where they could change history in each episode (successfully, unlike the Time Tunnel)

For Back to the Future - The Series, you could keep the basic elements of the movies; Marty, Doc Brown, The DeLorean, but since the movie was made 17 years ago, you could rework the original storyline as a jumping off point of the series.
I think Biff would make a great nemesis. Having to chase him and his annoying ancestors through time would be good for some laughs.
Somebody call Universal, we've go a series to work on.
Get Sci-Fi Channel on the phone, too.

I think "Back to the Future" plays like an elongated sitcom episode, as do the sequels. I am sure that Universal would love to exploit it and make a series but bet Speilberg, it was an Amblin production, has not agreed.

Spielberg has had some sucesses on TV, but a few failures (Seaquest anyone?). But he could always use a hit.
I would think if a project was being developed that was a good idea, he would sign off on it.

Back To The Future would be a great series but who would they get to act in it? It won't be Michael. J Fox or Chris Lloyd that's for sure.

A series of the Breakfast Club (I love that movie, also!) would be intresting.

Generally Movies usually do not make good tv series....that last.
