"The Assignment"- Episode 2 of Gopher's Gateway
Part 2 of 2

Last time on Gopher's Gateway…
Sean Sporman is assigned weatherman of Hueytown High School while having a great day…
The Superintendent plans with Mister Redcross of Pittman to have Sean Sporman design and command the New High School due to horrible ratings…
It begins to snow (in October!), as everyone starts to act abnormally…

And now, the continuation…

Sean stared in shock as a plastic chair flew over his head and shattered when it hit the concrete. Sean Sporman, Jordan Reeves and Heather Allgood seemed to be the only ones that were not affected not affected by the 'crazy force' that affected everyone else.
Sean looked around the practice field. He saw Megan Hall and Liz McGowen throwing objects from their purses at Derik Olvey, who was on his knees. He saw Jordan Reeves being bombarded by pairs of socks from an unknown source. Jacob Allison and John Barnes were climbing up the field goal posts. Laramie Capps was throwing paper balls at Sean. The other students and staff were chasing people, throwing stuff, climbing up stuff, jumping on stuff, playing with the water hose, destroying objects and getting in minor fights. Sean was curious as to why he was not affected by this 'crazy force', but more thankful to try to figure it out at the moment.
"Good Gracious." Jordan exclaimed as he shivered from the cold. "I wanted snow…but this…" He looked up as the heavy snow continued to fall and accumulate over the field, school, and most likely the city.
Sean checked his pockets for his newly replicated phaser and tricorder. He remembered what the replicator has said, but this was a desperate situation. He pulled out the phaser. Jordan looked in shock.
"This is no time for toys, Sean!" Heather Allgood said as she ducked when yet another chair flew over her head.
Sean adjusted the phaser, using vocal commands, to where it would not 'stun' someone, but merely 'get their attention'. He pressed the fire button. A beam of phased energy and light lanced out from the three-inch object and hit Laramie Capps square in the stomach. He flinched slightly, then threw another paper ball at Sean. Jordan and Heather stared in disbelief. "I guess the settings worked, but not the plan." Sean then caught his two friends' expressions. "It's a long story…but don't worry…I'm human!" Sean smiled.
Jordan walked over and examined the phaser in Sean's hands. "It's real!?!"
"Yup. Came from a real replicator! And look at this!" He popped out the tricorder and activated it. "Computer, display current air temperature in Fahrenheit" The tricorder beeped and showed in it's display '22F'. "Awesome!" Jordan exclaimed. Sean had never seen Jordan in this particular mood before. Jordan was about to say something again, when yet another chair flew over their heads and shattered into several parts.
"We have to do something about this!" said Jordan.
"Why don't we get back inside?" Heather suggested.
"Good idea." Sean said. "Let's go!"
They began to walk slowly toward the high school. Sean saw three more chairs fly and shatter on the concrete. Jacob and John had made it to the top of the goal post and were screaming loudly. Apparently, Derik had gotten away from Liz and Megan, but was now being chased by them. The snow was beginning to slow down. Just them Sean noticed several girls running slowly in his general direction. Another chair flew up and nearly hit Heather. Sean pushed her out of the way, bit in the process tripped. Just nearby, the chair shattered. Jordan and Heather stopped. "Go on! I'll be there soon." Sean smiled as they began to run.
"We won't hurt you!" The group of girls now blocked Sean's escape. Sean decided to throw them off. He ran back toward the track, covered with chair debris and snow.
He could really get away at any moment, but Sean decided to have some fun. He began to run down the field. He could still hear John and Jacob screaming about their 49-0 football victory from the top of the goal post. The group of girls, all freshmen that Sean had crushes on, began to chase Sean. Sean smiled ear to ear.
"You'll never get me!" Sean said, waving the small phaser. He shot several blasts over the girls heads. He, of course, missed on purpose.
"Go, Sean!" Ben Smith yelled as he jumped on a trampoline. He seemed to go up and down very slowly.
Sean kept smiling as he ran down the snow-covered track, as one of his favorite songs ran through his head. It was obvious that Sean was having a ball. Sean was now at the opposite side of the entrance. He could see more of the craziness here.
Tiffany Kynard was throwing playground balls at the fence, hitting several people that ran by, including Sean. Meghan Harris was singing very loudly. Too bad Jordan isn't here… Tim was talking in his Lil' Jimmy voice causing several people to laugh in the snow. Jonathan was doing his impression of the 'Irish locker' causing even more people to laugh in the snow. Their parents might not be so happy… Sean thought as he saw snow coating the clothes of the people laughing on the ground.
Sean decided it was time to get back to the high school. He blew a kiss at the girls who chased him and ran at full speed toward the exit. Out of the blue, another chair flew behind him and hit the ground just a few inches behind him. He fell to the ground as the debris flew in many directions. Sean got up and made it to the exit.
He looked back and saw the girls chasing Ben. "Hee. Hee! Now, he gets to get it. I only wish I could keep the chase up!" Sean still smiled as he shot around the field house. He got to the road and slowly walked through it, looking both ways before he crossed. Once on the other side, he ran up the snow-covered sidewalk to the school.

Monday-Hueytown High School
Sean had a spectacular weekend. He had been transported out of the snow into a federation shuttle. He left it in orbit. Then, Mr. Redcross told him that he would design the new Hueytown High School after commanding the first one for two weeks. Then, after the design and construction, he would be the principal if he passed the test. Also, his friends would assist him in design and operation. He had planned what to do on the first day of command.
Sean still kept his tricorder and phaser with him, along with a few other handy devices. He even wore a starfleet uniform, complete with working communicator. He knew that his friends knew, but his parents did not know. He was wondering if it would be right to tell them. Sean had consulted with his 'assistant and tertiary' principals. These were Jordan Reeves, Heather Allgood, Brooke Thompson and Allen Johnston, all very good friends of the Star Trek fan.
He had his first action planned perfectly.

8:03 AM
Students of all shapes and sizes flooded the dark girl's gym. The band played the usual rap music and the crowd was sort of out of control as usual. However, chairs had been provided for the freshman and sophomores. However, some people had to stand, because several chairs had been destroyed when the craziness force took control of the 'honorable' students. When everyone was seated, the music stopped and the lights were turned off, turning the gym pitch black. Surprisingly, the crowd fell silent.
"And…now…" A booming voice announced from the front of the gym. "We welcome our new principal…" Just then, an upbeat oldies song, Sooner or Later was playing. Several of the students booed it. Spotlights shone in just the right way as the new principal approached, so that only the silhouette showed. When he reached the gym, the lights were reactivated and spotlights deactivated. "Sean Sporman!"
This caused a wide variety of reactions from the 'audience'. Some people cheered and whooped 'Sporman! Sporman!'. Some people kicked the chairs in front of them. Others merely rolled their eyes, laughed it off as a joke, or were very confused. One person jumped up and threw his chair at Sean. The chair hit Sean, but Sean walked forward as if nothing had happened. Jordan and Heather, on the stage with the band, smiled.
Mr. Swiney handed the microphone to Sean. "Greetings from the Spormanworld Alliance! I will not bore you with a speech, so have fun! Are there any questions?"
Nearly one hundred hands shot up.
"Why are you playing those stupid oldies!?" asked one student in the crowd.
"It's upbeat and happy. Just how school should be!" The person, who asked that, a junior female threw her purse at Sean. "Take this, fool!" The purse merely bounced off Sean, just as the chair did.
"What the kajibbies do you mean you’re the principal!?!"
"You can ask Mrs. Lindsay, Mr. Redcross, or even the superintendent! It's true. Now, it's my turn for questions! Who in here likes Star Trek?" Only a few hands shot up, but most gave Sean an evil eye. "Star Trek stinks!" one rebellious student exclaimed in protest.
Sean rolled his eyes and decided to retaliate. "South Park stinks!" Sean tried not to, but began to laugh. Several people in the audience gasped in disbelief and shouted at Sean. However, Sean merely rolled his eyes. "Enough questions for now!" Sean exclaimed, smiling once more. "Let's return to class."

10 minutes later-Mrs. Blossomgame's Room-
While Sean did not have to, he went to his first period class. Of course, with his new authority and position, the class would be different.
And with Jordan in there as well, there were two principals in the room made a few people very nervous. Some people did not treat them any different. Some people did not believe that they really were principals.
Jordan Reeves talked to Stephanie Taylor. Sean Sporman was talking to Jessica Ward.
"So, Sean, are you really the principal?"
"Affirmative." Sean replied. "For two weeks anyway!"
"It must have been some kind of contest." Brandon Tucker commented.
Just then, Mrs. Sullivan walked into the room.
"We have her again?" Stephanie asked to Jordan.
"Yes." The substitute replied. "Mrs. Blossomgame is still sick."
"Well, there are two principals in the room so it shouldn't be any problem."
"Yes. I wonder how Sean got to be the principal…but hey I love the uniform." Mrs. Sullivan took a seat behind the teacher's desk..
"Well…I have to go to my office now." Sean smiled as he stood up. "Ooh! I always wanted to say that. Make sure you give them work."
Mrs. Sullivan nodded with a smile as Sean walked out of the door. But, before the door closed…"Pips…Nice touch." Sean's smile broadened as he closed the door.
The hall was empty, from people anyway. Sean tapped his comm badge, still smiling and now walking toward the office. "Sporman to Heather."
"Sean! You mean these things actually work." Heather said, who was in the office, communicating through the comm badges.
"Well…the other things worked didn't they?" Sean said sarcastically as he exited Ivy.
"Ok…Sporman, could you pick me up a Mountain Dew on the way here?"
"Sure, Ma'am." Sean laughed as he closed the channel.
"Sporman to Hawking. One to beam up!" As Sean began to dematerialize. "Ooh! I loooove this!"

Federation Shuttle Hawking
Sean Sporman rematerialized in the shuttlecraft that he alone knew of. He had to keep some part of it a secret after all. He walked toward the shuttlecraft's replicator.
"Computer, one twelve ounce can of Mountain Dew please." The can materialized inside the replicator.
Sean then walked back toward the transporter, but not before looking down at his home. "It's beautiful." He said to himself before ordering the return transport.

Main Office-20 seconds later.
Heather Allgood sat in a chair behind the office desk while Jordan Reeves drew in a chair close to the office door.
Just then, Sean walked into the office, drink in hand. He handed Heather the drink. "Thanks." She said as she popped the can open. "Your welcome." Sean replied.
Jordan then looked at Heather. She had three solid pips while he hand two solid ones and a frame of one. "Hey! You gave her commander's pips and I only got Lieutenant Commander pips!"
Heather turned in her chair and smiled. "Well, Jordan, I guess I'm more important!" At that, Sean began to laugh. Jordan, deciding not to take the joke seriously and began to laugh as well. Suddenly, something crashed through a window, outside in the hall.
Jordan shot up and Sean ran toward the office door. Sean raised his phaser and a sly smile formed on his face. "Phasers on stun! Let's go!"
Heather put down her drink and stood as well. Sean stepped out of the door cautiously. What he saw, was a massive fight between four girls. It was the same girls that had been in Friday's Catfight June Gabert, Tina Thomas, Susan Enbasil, and Barbara Loweique.
"Good gracious!" Jordan exclaimed once more. Sean gestured for Heather and Jordan to follow him out an alternate exit. Once the three got out. Sean stepped forward and told Jordan and Heather to ready their phasers. They now faced the four fighting girls.
"Alright! Surrender at Once!" Sean ordered to the girls, now no longer fighting. Sean and his two friends had phasers raised and set on light stun.
"The fight was just a distraction to lure you into our trap!" June Gabert said as she raised a phaser of her own. Sean's eyes widened as she fired the phaser at him. The shot impacted his personal shield. "Shields at 97%." The computer beeped in warning. Realizing that Jordan and Heather did not have shields, he told them to scatter.
Sean rolled on the concrete and stunned Loweique and just barely missed Tina Thomas who was punching Jordan. Jordan, apparently, did not want to use his phased energy weapon. Sean then had an idea come to him as June once more fired her phaser, this time barely missing Heather. "Jordan, give me the phaser. Heather, go back to the office! Come out when I say poogy." Heather shot Sean a strange look, but did as told. Sean now had two phasers in his possession. He went toward June and put down the phasers. "We surrender. But, I would wait about twenty seconds for it to cool down."
Apparently, June was fooled. "You know I was a real silly one for thinking I could win." Sean stepped off the concrete sidewalk. "Yup, a real poogy!" Heather burst out of the office and stunned the distracted Susan Enbasil. Sean ran and picked up the two phasers and pointed them at June. "Surrender. Please, there is no need for anymore violence." June looked at Sean and muttered something under her breath and then shot off. Heather prepared to stun her, but Sean told her not too. She had dropped her phaser as well. "Are you two ok?" They both nodded yes. "That was scary, yet slightly fun."
Jordan smiled amd Heather seemed baffled. At the same time, many questions ran through Sean's head. Where did she get the phaser? Why would she attack? What am I going to do with these three?
Sean exchanged looks with Jordan and Heather. "Well…this throws an interesting kink into things…"

Pittman One Dirigible- 10:00 AM
The superintendent and Mister Redcross sat in the passenger section of the new blimp, Pittman One. It had been donated to the Board of Education, but they had no use for it. They were going to sale it, but Mister Redcross proposed that Sean and his friends could use it for the New School Project. The blimp was heading slowly for Hueytown High.
"Rebels?" The superintendent asked, curious as to what Sean, on the other side of the visual communiqué meant.
"Yes. They fought and then ran from the school saying that the new school will not succeed."
"Pranksters." Mister Redcross rolled his eyes, knowing the high school was full of rule-breakers, pranksters, and other suspicious people. "Don't worry about it."
Sean smiled as they closed the channel.

Hueytown High School Gym- 10:15 AM
Sean Sporman sat with several of his friends on the top bleachers. Besides the 'skirmish', it had been a very uneventful day as principal. "What about a faculty v. student contest?" Sean asked.
"What kind?" Megan Hall inquired.
Sean looked around the gym. He saw the people playing basketball, and was glad he did not have too. Jordan and Heather, the only other two in starfleet uniforms, were taking a break outside. I wonder if Heather likes the uniform…If she doesn't…Sean then realized that he had not answered Megan. "Well…it would either be basketball, football, or baseball."
"What about wrestling?" Brooke Stevens inquired.
"Yeah! I would win!" John Barnes exclaimed.
"Maybe." Sean said cautiously. "But, I think Basketball would be better, like Pittman's great games."
"Pittman, Pittman, it's always Pittman! Sean, it wasn't that good!" Jordan seemed to be serious at first, but by his smile, Sean knew that he was joking.
"Well…who would win?" Just at Sean's friends began contemplating the possibilities something crashed through one of the gym windows. It was a round object. Sean looked at for a few seconds. He then thought he knew what it was. "Everybody, out!" Only a few people ran toward the gym exit. Sean popped out his phaser and shot in the general direction of most of the students. It hit the wall and left a scorch mark. "Move!" The remainder of the students began to pour out of the gym. "Sporman to Hawking. Lock on to the bomb and--" Before Sean could complete his sentence, the bomb exploded. The gym filled with smoke and Sean was knocked off his feet. Thankfully, all of the other people were out of the gym and Sean's shield had absorbed most of the blast.
The gym, however, was another matter. The bomb had detonated in a set of bleachers, which was now just a pile of wood and metal. It had also left a scorch mark and crater on the wall. Mrs. Lindsay and Mr. Swiney rushed in, still there in case of emergencies and questions.
"Are you all right?" Mrs. Lindsay asked as she visually examined the wreckage.
Sean coughed and then responded. "Yes. I'm fine. I don't know who did this." Sean coughed twice more. "It just crashed through the window and exploded about ten seconds later. Thankfully, I was able to convince most of the people to leave the gym once I realized what it was."
"Well, we'll call the police and restrict the gym."
"No, I think I have a better idea." Sean smiled secretly as he tapped his combadge. "Three to transport to Pittman One-passenger section."

Pittman One Dirigible-
Mister Redcross and the superintendent were snacking when three people appeared out of nowhere almost directly in front of them. It was Sean and the two principals from Hueytown High.
"How did you get here?"
Sean stepped forward. "Just now, a bomb detonated in the gym. I do not know the cause of this. But, I think there is something you should see." Sean took out his tricorder and pressed a series of buttons. His replicator, the first one he found, lay before his feet.
Sean picked it up. "Computer, one Pentium 800 laptop computer." A small computer materialized inside the replicator. "This is a replicator. I--um, uh--found it. If you watch Star Trek, you know what this can do. It's an awesome discovery. I know that these can be used for the project. I have also--uh--found a larger one in a secret location. It can be used to replicate metals, bulkheads, and anything that will fit. Such as these." Sean showed his tricorder and showed it to Mister Redcross. "It's a scanning device that can scan anything. However, this must be kept secret. It will be used in the school, but no one will suspect anything, we can just say it was a government project." Everyone in the blimp smiled. "Well…I must go now. Hawking, beam me back to the High School." Sean disappeared once more, his precious replicator in hand. The four adults left in the blimp stared at each other. "Well, join the ride. It's as crazy as can be." Mr. Redcross rolled his eyes at the superintendent's cheesy remark. "Oh, and don't worry about Sean, he's on our side."

Hueytown High-10: 30 AM
The gym had been blocked off with makeshift force fields and fake police line tape. Sean was scanning the remains in the gym.
Jordan Reeves was sitting in a chair in the office. He could not believe what was happening either. But, he was not too surprised. "If anyone was going to get something from the future, it would be Sean. But, him as principal?"
"…Will be very good." The superintendent walked into the room along with the three principals. "We were going to announce this in the gym. But, now…"
"I believe I have a solution." Sean said as he stepped into the now crowded office.

Mr. Roller's Room- 10:35
"Sean is the principal?" Ben Smith required.
"Yeah. I heard that in three weeks they’ll tear down the school and he'll design a new one!" Stephanie Taylor responded.
"And that means off days!" Morgan McBrayer exclaimed.
"Did you hear about that fight?" Tristan Posey asked to no person in particular.
"Yeah! I heard that Sean had a phaser!" Several people began to laugh.

Hueytown High Office-10: 40 AM
"Here's a joke for you! What's sometimes read but never has words?"
Sean's friends gave no answer.
"An apple!" Sean laughed, but noticed only Jordan was smiling.
"Well, Sean, I have the better jokes! Here's a joke." Jordan told a joke, one of his classics, about the blond who went into the barbershop with headphones on and refused to take them off. "…after the haircut was over, the blonde was dead. The barber picked up the headphones, and they said 'breathe in, breathe out'. The room erupted in laughter. Even Sean was laughing.
After the laughter had calmed down, Sean turned to Jordan. "So, I guess now your pips are fixed, you are happy now."
"Yes, Captain." Jordan said in his best imitation of a starfleet officer.
"It is most logical." Sean said, imitating Spock. He returned to his normal voice. "Say, why don't we go have some fun?"
"Sure, but don't we have a job to do?" Jordan asked.
"That's what we are going to do." Sean said with a smile.
Sean, Jordan, Heather, and Brooke Thompson walked out of the office. Of course, only three of them, what Sean called the 'core staff', had on starfleet uniforms. They proceeded toward Pine. Sean looked back at the wrecked Gym. While it worried him some, he took it as an isolated incident. But, could it be June and Tina…
"So, Commander, what shall we do first?" Sean asked Jordan.
"How about observing an old foe?" Jordan said, smiling. Sean knew what he meant. Sean took a PADD, or Personal Access Display Device, and accessed the school records. "The Idiot is in Mrs. Painter's second period World History class." Sean laughed at Jordan's joke.
"What are we doing?" Heather asked.
Sean's smile continued as he turned his head toward Heather. "The duty of a starfleet officer."
Heather rolled her eyes. Sometimes I think he's a little too obsessed with that silly TV show. She thought as the four of the entered Oak.
The four proceeded down the hall in silence. "Only one of us should go in. The other three might could patrol the hall." Jordan suggested.
"A great suggestion. Since I'm the head I'll go."
Jordan almost argued for him to go in, but decided not to.
Sean entered the room with a smile and a PADD. Mrs. Painter, a polite female teacher in her late 20s, turned her head toward the door. Sean had her next period, and she always thought he gave good answers to his essay questions. "I'm just here to observe." Sean stated. "Don't mind me."
"Sure." Mrs. Painter smiled. "Mr. Principal."
Sean sat down in an office-esque chair close to Mrs. Painter's personal computer. Sean looked at the agenda on the board and realized that they were doing a section review. Mrs. Painter then said she had to make a copy. Sean volunteered to watch the students.
As soon as she left the room, most of the students began to talk.
Holly Toidi threw a paper ball at Sean. It merely bounced off his shield. Sean's smile never went away. "Mr. Toidi, I would not do that." Sean warned.
Holly was not really Holly at all. His real name was Andrew, but he was called Holly because one day in fourth grade, he had worn a shirt with holly on it and Jordan had called him that once. The name stuck, and apparently he did not mind.
Behind Holly sat Jeff McNeely and James Kola, two more weirdoes in this mixed-up school. Realizing that nothing else was happening in the class, Sean decided to have another daydream.

The Son'a ship fired phasers once more at the USS Sporman.
Sean Sporman sat on the bridge alone as another console exploded in front of him. He had interlinked all the systems to voice control, but he had a new idea. "Fire phasers!" Three phaser beams scorched the Son'a ship's hull. "Computer, activate manual flight control." A console rose from the floor and from that console came the control. It looked like what in the twentieth century might have been called a joystick.
"Fire aft photons!" Sean had set the viewscreen to automatic tracking and saw the photons sail past the Son'a ship as it slowly moved forward. Sean continued to move the ship on a ramming course with the ship. At the last moment, he jerked the ship up. "Fire Quantums!" Four quantum torpedoes struck the enemy ship. It began to explode.

Heather Allgood roamed the halls of Ivy. She had enjoyed the 'job' somewhat, but it was sort of boring. And, she also was slightly annoyed with Sean's endless references with Star Trek. But, now it was real! She then saw Jordan Reeves walk up to her.
"I bet Sean's having fun in there." Jordan said smiling.
Heather's expression did not change, but she sighed. "Sure. I guess."
Jordan began to smile. "You don't like him do you?"
Heather gave Jordan a look of shock. "Well…he's ok. But, he is a tad to obsessed with Star Trek. Especially, in this last weekend."
"I agree. But, he did get basically his dream come true. Real Star Trek technologies and now a position of power."
"You do have a point." Heather said, starting to smile.
"But, the real question is, would you go out with him?"
Heather only smiled.

June Gabert and two of her new allies sat in the Girls' Locker room.
"It's a good thing that Sean sealed off this room, we have our temporary headquarters." Her two allies were P.G. Smith, and Bill Ogical.
"What about Tina, Susan, and Barbara?"
"They'll be ok. The bomb went very well. But, Sean seems to all but forgotten about it."
Bill Ogical spoke up. "I heard that they are planning to have an assembly in the girl's gym about Sean taking command. We can take care of him there!"
"I don't want to kill anyone, just stun them."
"With what? You lost the phaser you stole!"
"I got another one. A phaser rifle!" She leveled the monstrous weapon that required two hands to hold and operate. "A few shots on its heavy stun setting will bring down his personal shield and stun him."
"It will also blow the secret away!" Smith exclaimed with a cough at the end.
"Yes. Revenge will be mine."

Sean smiled as he prepared to execute his plan. He stood up and turned toward Mr. Toidi. "So, who in here loves Star Trek?"
Toidi stood up and threw his massive social studies book on the floor. "Star Trek stinks!"
Sean smiled. "Up, that's backtalk to faculty. One-hour detention. Not to mention unofficial sacrilege.”
"But…But…I didn't mean it." Toidi stammered as he sat back in his seat.
Just then, Mrs. Painter walked into the room. Sean stood from her chair and prepared to exit the room. "You need to give Holly there a mark. He did not do what I said."
Mrs. Painter gave him a demerit mark as Sean exited the room. Toidi gave him an evil look. Several people in the room began to laugh.

The Pittman One blimp hovered over the high school. It carried four passengers, all-eager to get down. "Let's use the video phone."
They activated the videophone, which used satellite transmissions, and opened the 'channel' to the school. "Pittman One to Sporman."
"This is Rachel. Hold on."

Inside the school, Sean was walking back toward the office, when he met up with Jordan and Heather. His comm badge then beeped. "Waters to Sporman."
"Hey, Rachel. Something wrong?"
"No, Sean. But, you do have a videophone call from the blimp."
"Ah, thanks, and thanks for taking my side."
"Sure, Spormanworld rules, except for that one story idea." Rachel and Sean laughed simultaneously.
Sean hurried toward the office, while Jordan stopped at the restroom in the library building and Heather walked slowly toward the office.
Sean rushed inside the building, barely missing the blocked off window, still damaged from the earlier fight. He quickly entered the office and stood in front of the videophone. He hyperventilated, tired from the running, for several seconds then began to talk. "Greetings."
"Could you…what did you call it…beam us down there. We need to make our speech."
"The main gym was destroyed, will you have it in the girls' gym?"
"Yes." Mr. Redcross responded. "Mrs. Lindsay kindly informed us that is where most of the assemblies are held at the high school."
"Thanks to the purple chairs, no less."
"Of course." Mr. Redcross responded.
"Why didn't you beam us back?" Mr. Swiney asked.
"An honest mistake." Sean admitted.
"I should have you suspended." At first, Sean did not think Mr. Swiney was kidding. However, when Sean noticed that everyone on the videophone screen was smiling, Sean knew the joke. Sean and adults laughed, while the other students in the office, Rachel and Brooke Stevens did not laugh.
Sean, still laughing some, prepared for the transport sequence. "Prepare for transport." Sean deactivated the viewscreen. "Computer, alter the personal shield to prevent all verbal talking from me to exit the shield perimeter after expanding the perimeter seven centimeters."
This way, no one else in the room would hear of the shuttlecraft. "Sporman to Hawking. Lock onto the personnel on Pittman One and transport them into the girls' gym."

Jordan walked into the office where Heather, Brooke and Rachel sat in various places. "Hey, where's Sean?"
"He's in the girls' gym, preparing some announcement assembly with the superintendent and three principals." Heather responded. Heather then muttered half in jest, under her breath.
Jordan heard it and smiled. "Yes, and have you noticed that most of the people Sean have selected are girls?"
All three girls suddenly fell silent. "Well, I had better go check on Sean. Besides, one brain is better than none." Jordan continued to smile as he walked out the door.
"Hey, Heather, have I ever told you about what Sean calls the 'Flower Power Incident'?"
"No." She said, laughing.
Brooke Stevens walked over to where Heather and Rachel were sitting. "Tell me too!"
"Sure. Well, it was at Pittman in when I was the eighth grade. For Valentine's Day, Pittman sold flowers that you could send to students. Now, Sean and I bought each other a Red one, which meant…"

Sean and the three other principals along with the superintendent feverishly prepared for the upcoming assembly. They moved the podium into place and cleaned up some of the debris from this morning's assembly.
"I told Heather to announce it in just about two minutes."
"Well…that leaves us little time." Mrs. Lindsay responded.
"We still don’t have enough chairs." Mr. Swiney stated. "Sean, what happened to them?" Sean smiled as he took his place on the gym floor.

Heather Allgood picked up the intercom receptor. "We need all teachers and students to report to the gym." She put it down, and sat back down. "You were telling us about the Library Aide Christmas party?" She asked to Rachel.

June Gabert stood up, Phaser Rifle in hand, after the announcement was made. "Let's go!" She and her two allies stepped out of the girl's locker room and began to sneak into the girl's gym.

Once more, many students began to fill the gym. But, this time, no music was playing, and Heather and Jordan were walking with the crowd. They were allowed on the stage with the superintendent, principals and Sean.
When the students were all seated, except for the ones that were forced to stand, Sean prepared to speak. Teachers lined the area, closing potential escape routes for rebellious students.
"Greetings once more, Hueytown Family." He had gotten that one from Mister Redcross, who used 'Pittman Family' in many of his assembly speeches. "Star Trek still rules. Now, the superintendent has something to say."
An explosion ripped through the door on the far left of the girl's gym. One girl, bearing a phaser rifle, followed by two guys with smaller phasers.
Sean glanced around as some students began to run out of gym in panic while others were riveted on the scene. "June!" He exclaimed. "How in Spormanworld did you get that phaser rifle?"
She slowly walked closer. As one of the teachers, Mr. Roller, walked up to stop her, she shot him and he went down, stunned.
Sean raised his phaser, and so did Jordan and Heather. Sean fired his phaser at level two, but it only hit her personal shield. "You have a shield too!" June then shot a light on the gym roof, causing the bulb to explode and sparks to fly from the explosion. "Care to surrender?" she asked.
