Do you think that "The Ellen Show" will return for a second season? I think it will, but the answer won't be known for a few months. So what do you think? :happyface :happyface :happyface
Hmmm.
I think the magic eight ball is saying no on this one.
Usually when the Networks cut back on a show's episodes, it probably means they don't want the show around much this season much less a next season.

Although, they did say that it wasn't canceled. I think it depends on how well the remaining 5 episodes do, we'll see, if they move it to mondays when it comes back (hopeful!!)

Im not sure. the Gang at CBS or at least the president of CBS knows its a hit and deserves credit. And they dont know what to do with it. Friday just aint a good spot for it anyway. Im gonna have to also say that it will depend on the next few episodes. CBS is really trying to find its audience, giving it a good chance. But I think it is possible to be seen in a second season.
I am a member of the Yahoo Ellen Show club and I have heard from another member who lives in Hollywood that CBS is BS'ing the fans and that the show is not on hiatus but actually cancelled and that the remaining five eps will probably not air. The show will not be back on the air on March 1st because 1st Monday is on an hour early due to a beauty pageant. It's too early to tell if this grapevine source is accurate but I don't expect to see any new shows. However, you can write to CBS to complain and also to go to SaveThatShow.com to vote to save the show. As of this morning, over 12,000 people have shown their support for Ellen.
replying to the last post there, You said it probably has been canceled, or something like that, at least thats the rumor. I read somewhere that the show was just delayed for sweeps month and is returning for the last 5 shows. Plus CBS has a new comedy with Nathan Lane, And I think that would be back to back with Ellen, to make it a nice even round of 6 sitcoms on CBS, not five, what else would you put in the other time slot besides repeats, and just to note, Nathan Lanes show is the only new one for mid-season on CBS.
There is no doubt in my mind that CBS will air the remaining episodes, but it is more than likely they are just going to burn them off just to get some ad money, rather than keep the show around for next season.
It is a shame they didn't give the show a chance. Too bad they coudn't find a way to slip it in Monday's lineup.
