My choice for worst mother-in-law wasn't listed on the poll. Marie Barone from Everybody Loves Raymond takes the cake. She's manipulative, highly critical, intrusive, domineering, and worst of all, she lives across the street. Yikes!

Yes, Marie is an awful MIL. In fact, my husband can't watch the show because she reminds him too much of his mother (only she is worse,). There are times I have to turn the show off because Raymond-the-Spineless won't stand up to his mother. However, I guess if he told her to shut up and she did, it would be the end of the show!! LOL

It is a funny show, but Marie is what is wrong with this country. She knows no boundries and says what she wants, when she wants. She is a horrible influence on those little kids also! But, I still watch it everyweek, and some of the shows are a riot, but Marie is a piece of work. Dr. Phil would have a field-day with her!! LOL

Mother Jefferson has to be the worst ever. The exchanges between her and Weezy were so funny! But I was thinking Marie Barone also. She is not only a bad mother-in-law to Debra, but I feel so bad for Robert. It is sad the way she favors Raymond over him.
