What is laugh track?

What is laugh track. I recenlty keep hearing that term. I htnk it means theres no audience, right?

Yep, there's no audience. They edit in laughter (The Laugh Track) after the show is finished shooting.

i thought it meant more like a dramadie. it doesnt have an audience/no laugh.

Most shows that use a laugh track are sitcoms that for one reason or another don't have a live audience.
