Well here it is the Nick at Nite Log. I've tried to include every schedule that Nick at Nite has had since it began.

Here are some notes:

1. All info came from TV Guide, the schedule archive at classictvhits.com and in some cases my own memory.

2. For the most part the schedules are accurate but remember, TV Guide is not always 100% correct so a schedule listed may be a week off.

3. Everything is listed in chronological order. Including marathons and special events. TV Guide did not list Nick at Nite listings for July 1985, but it's safe to assume that the August 1985 schedule is similar, if not the same schedule used in July of 1985.

4. I've broken up the scheules into Weeknights, Saturdays and Sundays from 1985-2000. In the 2001 listings, Fridays are listed along with Saturdays, Sundays and Mon-Thu.

5. Times listed are Central Standard.

Now, sit back and see how Nick at Nite has transformed since it's debut in July 1985.

This is an excellent list! I posted an overview which I got from Nick at Nite:
http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29115&highlight=overview

If you are missing some info you can add it here. But I know the overview they gave me is missing a ton.

Nice job!

Awesome. I didn't know most of these shows aired on Nick at Nite. It brings back so many childhood memories.

Here's a supplement to go with the Nick at Nite Log. It's a list of all 71 shows that have been on Nick at Nite's regular schedule since July 1, 1985, when Nick at Nite began. I've included the day it first aired on Nick at Nite and the last day it aired.

NOTE: It may be possible, that some dates may be off by a week.

Thanks, boechsner. It was really fun to refresh my memory of all the different sitcoms that have been on Nick at Nite.

I find it interesting that for most of Nick at Nite's history there have been as many as 12 different shows airing each night. Then about a year ago they suddenly start airing back-to-back episodes and now there are only about 5-6 shows total. For the life of me I cannot understand why they changed their format. I loved having the variety because even if there was a show I didn't like, I had plenty of others to choose from. Plus, I get tired of any show that airs 4 episodes a night. I don't even want to see my favorites that often! It's really too bad they changed.

I brought this old post back up because, KrisMonroe needed schedules for Nick at Nite from 1989.

LOL. Indeed, there was a time when Nick at Nite was a great channel to watch.

It's too bad that Nick can't have more variety in their programming. The same could be said for TV Land. They air the same shows over and over--on the same days.
So many possible shows--so little variety.

It makes me sick to see a list of all the shows I had a chance to tape but didn't for one reason or another.

Bring back the REAL NICK!!!!!!!

I didn't know how to work the vcr back then, but if somehow I could turn back time, I'd record:

My Three Sons (Although they only showed seasons 1-5, 12)
Dobie Gillis
Patty Duke
Donna Reed
Hi Honey, I'm Home
uh, okay I'd tape all those old shows. Up until the schedule where Gilligan's Island and Beverly Hillbillies came on in 2000. That's when N@N just turned bad beyond repair. However, I do watch Wings, which I feel should have come to TV Land instead.

I couldn't work a vcr back then either, but I sure wish I had asked someone to do it for me. I REALLY REALLY want to see Nick at Nite's old commercials and old schedules. I also think N@N bit the dust in 2000. It's sad really. b-o-o h-o-o

The problem with Nick at Nite and even other channels is showing back to back episodes. The only time I want to see two episodes back to back of a tv show is if it is something that hasn't been seen for years. Remember Mary Tyler Moore in 1992? It was great to have it on for an hour while everyone got to enjoy this show. Now a days...every new show HAS to be on for an hour...even if it doesn't deserve it! Eg. Coach, Wings

I'd prefer them to not have two episodes of each show. It's just that if they are going to do that, then "Wings" should get it's hour as well. They show 2 eps of Cosby, then 2 eps of Cheers, then 2 eps of Three's Company, then ANOTHER 2 eps of Cosby. If they insist on showing modern classics, they could fit a whole lot more into one night if they didn't do Double Takes. And they should show shows that haven't been seen in a while. Fresh Prince is already on TBS and WGN. It won't even have some time off, just straight to N@N. They should get Mr. Belvedere or Benson or The Hogan Family.

I have been looking for old N@N schedules for 4-5 years and I'm so happy that someone has them

Thank you very much :D

I knew them since 1994, but I didn't know them before then

The only thing I'm looking for now is past TV Land schedules and the Classic TV Countdowns episodes from 1989-1995

IMO, "Wings" has absolutely 100% NO place on TVLand. "Wings" was still on the air when TVLand premiere, and was still on the air a year after TVLand premiered. I think its pretty sad to consider that show to be a TVLand show if it ran parrallel to TVLand itself...

JT, I think what he means is that it, along with Roseanne and Cheers are more adult in nature than say The Cosby Show or Family Ties.

You might want to check with ClassicTVHits for TV Land schedules, I remember those posted some time back. I am still looking for past TBS schedules.

The Wonder Years was on N@N and that show began after N@N's debut. I know that TV Land boasts about having the classic sitcoms while N@N has the Modern Classics. But really TV Land needs to get some better classics. Their new editions (Green Acres, Mister Ed) are fine. But they need shows I haven't seen in a while. Like Car 54, Where Are You?, The Patty Duke Show, The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. I know you don't like "Wings" and that's fine, but I think it would be nice in TV Land. Maybe they would treat it with respect. But then again maybe they wouldn't.

Also not mentioned is the point when they started cutting everything to 22 minutes. When they first started they ran everything complete. I had about 4 VCRs in the 80s. Problem was we didn't get cable in my city until late 1990.

I remember the Nick at Nite blocks. They used to air reruns of "Patty Duke", "Dennis the Menace", "Donna Reed", "Dobie Gillis" and many other classics that I do remember for years. I missed the good old Nick at Nite.
