“All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and when ever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you: digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.” –Frith

"Animals don't behave like men ... If they have to fight, they fight; and if they have to kill, they kill. But they don't sit down and set their wits to work to devise ways of spoiling other creatures' lives and hurting them. They have dignity and animality." –Blackberry http://isisweb.8m.com/watership/group.jpg

Thanks Bootsy - I'm glad you like my signature.
I love Watership Down - the book and the movie. I'm not quite sure exactly what it is that I like best about it. I think that it's probably the way that the rabbits have their own allegorys for death and God and stuff - the Black Rabbit and Frith, for example.
It also has so many quotable lines - as you have demonstated in your post). I love how it shows the world from such a simple veiwpoint yet all the madness and stupidity of the human race is shown-up perfectly - "Man will never rest untill they have spoiled the earth and destroyed the animals".
I just think it's a really beautiful story and, although the movie is excellent, I really recommend that you also read the book.
