..which shows would you dump, and which shows would you return to the nitely line up?

If I were redoing the sched here are the show I'd dump:

1) Brady Bunch---I loved watching this show
but now I'm sick of it. It's
been overplayed to death.
Outta Here!

2)Diff'rent Strokes--When I was younger
loved this show,but
I cant relate to it now.
It's gone!!

3)Gilligan's Island-- Never really liked this
show. Bye-Bye!

4) Andy Griffith-- Sorry, I was never into
rural/country sitcoms.

5) I Love Lucy-- It's a classic, no
question about it,
but like the TBB it's
been played to death.

Shows I'd bring back to the N@N Line up:

1) FOL--ya think I was going to forget this one. LOL!

2) The Monkees--Mike,Micky, Peter & Davy.
What more do I have to say?

3) The Mary Tyler Moore Show

4) The Wonder Years

5) Welcome Back, Kotter-- John Travolta
before his movie
career! 'nuff said!

Okay, now it's your turn--which shows stay, which go, and which would you bring back?

I'd keep I love Lucy and Andy Griffith, they are too classic to lose. Ditch Brady bunch,Diff'rent strokes, beverly hillbillies. Im probly the only person on the board who says keep FOL out! I really hate tht show. I dont know what it is about it that drives me crazy.

Other shows in the line-up would be:
Happy Days
Laverne and Shirley
Mary Tyler Moore Show
Rhoda
Newhart
WKRP in Cincy
Head of the Class
Welcome Back Kotter

I would make a Nick at nite 2 and have it for regular cable, not like TVLand which you can never get anywhere. I would bring back shows like;
Mary Tyler Moore
Rhoda
Welcome Back Kotter, etc

and have the 80's shows on another channel.

i think n@n and tv land should stay in the 60&70es era. that way they could make a channel devoted to 80&90es. or n@n could just go all 80&90es because tv land is already doing the same stuff as n@n

Thank goodness we have two seperate "Classic" channels... TVLand and N@N. I think that TVLand should be the network dedicated to the true classics (Such as Lucy, Andy Griffith, and Honeymooners), and N@N should be dedicated to the modern classics. THerefore, my line-up for the new and improved N@N would be as follows:

Happy Days
Laverne & Shirley
Perfect Strangers
Head of the Class
Facts of Life
Diff'rent Strokes
Silver Spoons
Punky Brewster
Welcome Back Cotter
Family Ties
Taxi
WKRP in Cincinnatti

Thats 12 shows... 4 hours each night of good, pure comedy. And for mixing it up a bit, they could throw in a run of Three's Company or Night Court to break up the monotany.

Desperately hoping I make it past the 5th season of my life.

I'd drop everything they have on now (I used to like Diff'rent Strokes, but can you say overkill?) and add these:
Happy Days
Joanie Loves Chachi
WKRP
Double Trouble
Growing Pains
Just The 10 of Us

------------------
Mr. C - How are you going to support my daughter? How are you going to live? How are you going to eat?
Chachi - Mr. C, after we're married something is bound to come along.
Mr. C - Yeah, and then you'll have to feed that too!

Is TV Land a pay channel? Some cable companies don't get it. Anyhow:

Drop Gilligans! Its a favorite filler for the stations & it'll be picked up. Amen. Personally this to me belongs in "TV Classics Channel"

Drop I Love Lucy (of course; it doesnt fit the format of the 70s/80s.

Lavern & Shirley/Happy Days go together.

Andy Griffith: Another filler particularly used by TBS if Braves games are rained out. It belongs under (TV Classics Channel)

Beverly's Hillbillies: Same thing.

Now we get to the scheduling according to my Barnes ranking:

Three's Company: pretty popular so it gets 1 hour + marathon deal

Diff'rent Strokes: same thing; Prime Time (Deion Sanders nickname) was made for this puppy

Brady Bunch: I like it but of course it fits the 70s; however its middling middling (as Burt Stevens on Andy Griffith show said) so I'd give it a Camp Broadcasting cause that's what its good for that and the kiddies! By camp I mean do parodies, Pop Up Videos, etc.

Jeffersons: Decent. I dig it but its not a regular watcher after the 1st couple of seasons. Amen. Middling time slot

All in the Family: I like it OK but I'd push it back. Amen. And why is it on if Slick Nick don't wanna be controversial?

Facts of Life: Should be back as its 4th in the ratings. Lisa Whelchel is sweet.

Cheers: Well I don't care for Cheers so put it in the back somewhere http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif But it has a nice Q rating.

Family Ties: Nice show; may compete for Prime Time
