Before he was renamed Eddie Haskell, the sycophant character was called Frankie and was played by Harry Shearer, whose parents pulled him from the show so he could have a normal childhood. Yep, the same Harry Shearer who voices Simpson characters!

Its amazing how many LITB urban myths there are. Growing up, everybody I knew swore Jerry Mathers died in Vietnnam and Ken Osmond was porn star John Holmes.

This one is true. In the pilot, "Small World", Harry Shearer played a character named Frankie, who was a prototype for Eddie Haskell.
