Alec Baldwin of NBC’s “30 Rock” told the cast of a hit sitcom on another network that his show "is almost over" and added, "I'm actually pitching myself to you guys," reports the Los Angeles Times' Ministry of Gossip blog.
Baldwin made the comments, directed at the cast of ABC’s “Modern Family,” at the Los Angeles Times' Photo Booth at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, after he had won the award for best actor in a comedy series, the piece notes. Baldwin, who has won six actor statuettes from SAG, quipped that he was going to build "an addition to my house" with them.
He noted that he's "still scared to speak up" about his political opinions, adding, "I want Season 7 [of '30 Rock'] really badly. When you do speak out, it does cost you. The people that are the greatest film stars today and have the most potent careers are ones you know nothing about. They're very sanitized.”
"And maybe I should have been more like that," he said, according to the story.
