What's the purpose of this thread? It clearly didn't. Sure, dream sequence episodes usually disappoint, but this one didn't in the least bit. Leonard and Penny still wound up going on that date, and judging by that last scene, they did hook up. All we don't know is whether they're officially an item again, and that'll surely be answered next week.

I didn't care for the dream sequence, but I was glad to see them actually go out at the end. I also loved that even though Leonard had thought it through and knew things could end badly, he still had the guts to ask her out anyway! That is not something we usually see from him. I think it will lead to better episodes to come, so no I don't think it jumped the shark.

No, I didn't. I thought that the "dream sequence" added a little unexpected twist at the end which I actually prefered it because it was something I hadn't been expecting. For 22 minutes of the episode I was thinking we were seeing yet another scheme to get both Leonard/Penny back together and when it turned out to be a dream I was actually taken by surprise by it.
