One when I was watching the honeymooners I noticed that the characters from that show are alot like the characters in this show

Fred is like Ralph
Wilma is like Alice
Barney is like Ed
Betty is like Trixie

Yeah well I just thought it was interesting. So anyone notice that besides me?

Hanna-Barbera is notorious for basing thier characters on TV characters.
Yogi Bear is Ed Norton (Art Carney)

I agree that the Flintstones was loosely based on the Honeymooners.

But that still does not take away from the creativity of Hanna-Barbera, because it was a stroke of genious to have a cartoon series based solely on the stone age, but yet have many modern conviences such as a car, dishwasher, bowling alleys etc.

I think it is great that people are still watching this cartoon nearly 40 years later. The same can be said for the Jetsons and Tom and Jerry.

What a legacy left to us by two of the greatest animated series creators.

No arguement here. Hanna-Barbera also did something really important.
They brought animation to television.
While their animation might not have as pretty as Disney's or Warner Bros.,which were made for the theaters, they simplified the animation to make it for TV.
