A school shooting that happened at my school. On Monday January 18th, 1993 Scott Pennington 17 walked into Deanna McDavid's Senior English class at East Carter High School and shot her killing her. Marvin Hicks who heard all the commotion walked in and Scott shot him killing him also. Scott then sat in his teacher seat holding all 21 students hostage. My oldest sister was out there and I was in elementary school. I remeber somebody running up to mom and telling her that there has been a shooting out at the high school and she ran in got me and told me what had happened. We then went out to school looking for my sister. I also remeber that my mom was screaming non stop the whole way up there. We tehn arrived finding my sister at a neighbors house. They didn't have school today and that is the reason why. To this day we still get all kind of threats. When people ask me what school I go to and I tell them and they are like you go there. It is still hard even now. I can remeber everything that happened that day because it is day that I will never forget as long as I live. If you guys want to know what happened to Scott. He was tried as a adult and sentenced to 25 years in prision. I hope I am gone when he gets out cause I would like to say a few choiced words to him and tell him where he can go.
