Nope. I've been to some Broadway shows, but never any Boardway shows ;) LOL forreal though...I've seen some. They are under the thread "Musicals"

*sings* Give my regards to Broadway, remember me to Harold Square. Tell all the gang at 42nd Street that I will soon be there! Whisper of how I'm yearning, to mingle with the old time throng. Give my regards to Old Broadway and say that I'll be there ere long!!!

Did I just kill everyone with my singing?

Nope, I've never seen some Boardway shows (You always misspell this one, huh? ) but I wanna go to Broadway to see some. Heck, maybe I'll even make it to ACTING on Broadway! I really want to!

I've been to the off-Broadway production of 'Grease' starring Cindy Williams and Eddie Mekka. I suppose that's close. I didn't pay too much attention to the show though, I was too preoccupied with my plan to meet Cindy and Eddie afterwards... :)

Not the, like, "official" Broadway, but off-Broadway I've seen:

Showboat
Grease
Titanic: A New Musical

And I was in some high school productiony stuff. I agree with Chris, it would be so awesome to actually do Broadway...

Showboat, Grease, and Titanic? I don't think they've ever been OFF-Broadway? Do you mean regional theatre? LOL

Anyway, hmm... let's see if I can remember the shows I've seen. I highly doubt it.

~Cats (When I was 5.. granted I loved it then. Only because of the dancing. I'm not fond of Andrew Lloyd Webber.)
~CHICAGO (With Bebe and Ann Reinking, baby! Oh, yes! It rocked my world! HOW long ago was that!)
~Beauty and the Beast (I'm going to play Belle...)
~Side Show (I'm going to revive the role of Daisy on Broadway one day...)
~Kiss Me, Kate
~Les Mis (sigh... I won't go into it.)
~Annie Get Your Gun
~The Sound of Music
~James Joyce's The Dead
~Cabaret

Um, omg... I can't think of them all. Of course, I've seen off-broadway shows too and too many regional shows to name. I have season tickets to North Shore Music Theatre and I see a lot of national tours in Boston as well.

Anyhow, I'm going to see Sweet Smell of Success soon. I'll also see something else. Haven't decided yet, though! :D

I just figured anything not on Broadway was off-Broadway, lol. I don't know, they were all official and stuff and really well-done! :D

Nope, nope! LOL! Off-Broadway is a league of its own! I'd assume the shows you saw were some form of equity theatre if they were "all official and well done." It's all good. Common mistake. :D

Well they had famous people in 'em if that means anything! "Showboat" had Pat Harrington, "Grease" had McKenzie Phillips (sp?) and Sally Struthers, and "Titanic" had Steve from "Married With Children"... :)

Get ready to be envious of someone else JOBlairJOBlair. I saw Cats, but it was when I was like 5 or 6 so I don't really remember any of it.

I've also seen Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (American cast).

I know only a few agree with me on my opinion of ALW. He's obviously very popular, but I would NEVER consider him of genius status. His work is purely redundant and I find that sickening. It's just not my "cup of tea." :( I don't HATE his shows by any means, I'm just not a huge fan. I did enjoy Joseph SO much at North Shore that I saw it three times. First off, the man that played Joseph was phenomenal, and oh, so hot... he had the most incredible voice and what an actor! The show is just so upbeat and biblically based and that's why I love it. Other than that, it, too, is extremely redundant. I'd love to play the Narrator one day, though.

I saw:

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT with Donny Osmond (touring company in Detroit)

MAMA MIA! (in Toronto, opening night!)

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (in Detroit)

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (in Toronto)

THE LION KING (in Toronto)

THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Stratford, Canada)

CAMELOT (Stratford, Canada)

I'm gonna see MY FAIR LADY in Stratford this summer, which is gonna rock. Anyone else go to the Stratford festival? They put on some really good shows - even though they're Canadians!

Oh, and a guy I knew from elementary school was in the cast of the Off-Broadway show of THE SECRET GARDEN. He played Collin, and is on the CD. He also got into the children's choir in the Donny Osmond show of JOSEPH. He's really got a career going.

Yeah... Well I also really enjoy Stephen Sondheims music! What do you think of him? IMO, he writes really good music. I LOVE "Being Alive" from Company and "Children Will Listen" from Into the Woods... beautiful songs. :)

CAMELOT (Stratford, Canada)

Ah, Camelot! :D I played Guenevere two years ago. What a fun show!

As I stated before, I think Sondheim is pure genius. Into the Woods has to be one of the most brilliant musicals. I love all his shows.

And Liza... I ADORE The Secret Garden. I saw it with Rebecca Luker and Daisy Eagan. AMAZING. I'd LOVE to play Lily one day. My kitten is named Lilith, nick name Lily... LMAO. She was named both after Bebe Neuwirth's character on Cheers (my user name) and Lily from The Secret Garden. I'm determined to play that role one day! :happyface

I would KILL to see that musical again! It was beyond fabulous, you will have soooooooo much fun! I grew up with ABBA music, so I was singing along the whole time. But the guy I went with had never even heard of them. He know owns four of their CDs and is an ABBA freak! Behold the power that is MAMMA MIA! :notworthy

That's cool. I've never seen the show, but Lars missed all of eighth grade because of his commitment with that show. He was so proud to be a part of it - I wanted to see it, but yeah well, that didn't happen. I've read the book many times though.
