Game on! The Game is back on as the comedy returns for a fourth season after being off the air for two years! Cable network BET picked the series up two years after The CW canceled it after three seasons. The series has changed a bit with production moving from L.A. to Atlanta and going from a multi-camera sitcom to a single-camera comedy (but with a little laugh track is still here). When the fourth season premiered on BET, it easily did a series high in the rating, besting any episode on UPN/The CW by miles and becoming cable’s highest rated comedy ever. This 2-disc fourth season set is timed for the much anticipated fifth season premiere on BET on Jan. 10, so catch up during the holidays!

Two years have passed since we left Melanie (Tia Mowry Hardrict) and Derwin (Pooch Hall) at the altar. Putting her medical career on hold, Mel’s now a full-time wife and CEO for the Sabre’s star wide receiver, who has become a popular and wealthy player with the help of his sassy manager, Tasha (Wendy Raquel Robinson). Tasha’s son Malik (Hosea Chanchez), the hard-partying San Diego quarterback, is living larger than ever, while friend and teammate Jason (Coby Bell), co-hosts a sports talk show and Kelly (Brittany Daniel), his glamorous ex-wife, stars in her very own reality series. We get all 12 season four episodes, including the one-hour season premiere, delivering laughs, life lessons, drama, and a winning line-up of special guests. Game on, indeed!

Here are some of the songs that CBS Home Entertainment cut for the 4th Season DVD release and replaced with a "like" version of the actual song:

DISC ONE:
Parachutes…Beach Chairs [4-1 & 4-2]
B.o.B. - Don’t Let Me Fall

The Confessions Episode [4-3]
James Brown - The Big Payback

It Was All Good, Just A Week Ago [4-5]
Rick Ross - I’m Only Human

DISC TWO:
You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello [4-8]
Journey - Faithfully

A Very Special Episode [4-9]
Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl

Death Becomes Her [4-12]
Keith Sweat - Make It Last Forever
Alicia Keys - Doesn’t Mean Anything

The Right To Choose Episode [4-13]
Minnie Riperton - Loving You
B.o.B. - Don't Let Me Fall

It was very disappointing that CBS Home Entertainment or Black Entertainment Television (BET) couldn't get the rights to all of these songs, since the third season had the music intact matching the original network versions.

I must admit that if CBS couldn't get the rights to these songs, they've found adequate replacements. In the case of B.o.B.'s "Don't Let Me Fall" (which in my opinion set the tone for the whole season) was replaced with U-N-I's song "Land Of The Kings". That song was originally featured in the episode 71, "Don't You Know Who I Was?" (and still intact on the DVD).

With the fifth season being shot with the RED camera, I'm hoping that CBS Home Entertainment could release the show for the first time on Blu-ray. Overall, I'm very pleased with the effort shown to include bonus material.
