I seem to remember the first scene of the first episode had Leonard & Sheldon at a sperm bank, filling out screening applications, but chickening out and leaving instead. When the show debuted in local syndication (not sure about TBS), the scene wasn't in the episode. Just wondering if this was indeed a cut in syndication. Thanks.

I wouldn't be surprised, since the pilot runs around 22:30, and syndicated episodes run under 22 minutes (between 20-22 these days).

....TV shows are slightly edited for syndicated and cable repeats, due to extra commercials and time constraints. The average commercial time on the original network broadcasts is around five minutes per half-hour...and more than six on most local stations and cable channels.
