okay! this is the NEWEST thing to come to the board. This is where you'll sign up and write stand up comedy. But, instead of performing live! You'll be typing it!

But! You have to sign up for the 'Best sitcomsonline Stand Up Comedian'...so PLEASE do! You might be the one to win!

So, write a few [self made up jokes and skits] and post them so people can reply and tell you how they liked it!

And for the raters! You have to give a rating out of 20. SO, if a person is not funny, you'd give them a 1, but if they made your lungs hurt, they'd get a 20! SO, please sign up!

Only 10 people can sign up for the first 'Stand Up Comedian' competion!

Nikki, please use the following words in a sentence...rebates, discounts, and corporations.... while trying to sell an item, also include a slogan....

Nikki-
For my social studies presentation, I'm going to work with cans. I'll steal them from poor people and sell them for money, therefore, I'll be able to formed "rebates", "corporations" and "discounts"

Teacher-
And a slogan?

A can a day, keeps the doctor away!

Classmate- What would anyone do with a can?

dude, im gr8 at Stand up Comedy. i went to my best friends party and i was doin stand up comedy on this mic. it was soo gr8. everyone tells me im a gr8 comedian and the Next Jim Carrey or Lucille Ball. anywayz.. just thought i might share that.

There's so much more to stand up than mere jokes, though. It probably wouldn't translate well over a computer. Think about it...stand up comedy is a combination of good jokes, vocal inflection, body language, facial expressions, and sometimes visual gimmicks. I really don't think that this whole contest is going to be too successful at determining who is good at stand up. Who is a good joke teller might be a different story.

i totally agree wit you. u can tell a joke on the pc, but its not the same and its not as funny. i mean, ill just start spazing on my friend and everyone will just watch me and start crackin up. i love making people laugh, but its gets annoying when your dead serious and someone is laughin, but at the end of the day, its all worth while. i have gr8 jokes. i remember walking home from school just last week, and i stole my friends hat and i said "look at me, im Lizz" and started running and then i ran into a tree. its was gr8, but i really hurt myself. also, at my friends party, my friend threw a pie in my face. im always doin something stupid, im not afraid of what people that of me. im a great speaker, have great face expressions,good jokes, and alot of physical comedy that im not afriad of.you just gotta see me in action! hehe :)

Do you remember that commercial for this fast internat sevice and there were these stand up comedians and they were making fun of how slow there internat sevice went. This one guys goes my internat service left me so poor I got married just for the rice. And this lady goes my internat service reminds me of my husband it just sits there and never moves. Man that cracked me up:lol:
