What do you make of the Betty White revival?
SS : Betty White is phenomenal. First of all, she’s a great person. Everything you hope and wish she would be, she is. I have a theory on Betty White: Everything she says is funny. She’s 89 years old. She’s still got the chops. We have had some people on the show who are contemporaries of hers, and they weren’t as good. Somehow she’s managed to retain that sharpness. It’s a lot harder for her to memorize a lot of lines at that age, but she still just hits the lines. My theory about her is that because she’s that old, she’s at the opposite end of a baby. If a baby child was saying smart aleck things, we would laugh every time because it’s a baby. I think Betty is kind of the opposite end of the spectrum. She’s very old, but she’s very sharp, and she’s inherently funny because of that.
