Is It Just Me Or Does Nick At Nite Suck Tremendously?

I was just wondering, cuz all it is now is Cheers and Family Ties.

Occasionally you'll see Three's Company and All In The Family.

Happy Days, Lucy, Laverne and Shirley, Jeannie, Beaver, Get Smart, Taxi, and The Munsters all went to TVLand.

(A home well-deserved.)

At least TVLand shows them. Nick at nite stuck them at 4 am.

And where'd Gilligan go, already!?!

I still wish I knew where to find Kotter.

Bewitched, My Three Sons, and Jeannie are all on the Hallmark Channel.

The Wonder years is on ABC Family.

N@N used to be where you'd find all that. Now you gotta look on 5 or 6 different channels to find what you used to get on N@N.

Also, N@N is putting on all the newer shows.

Full House is coming in 2004.

ALF. Now THAT'S what they should air instead of Full House. Full House would only have been off the air for 9 years by 2004. ALF would have been off for 14.

Where'd the fall '98 schedule go?

Wonder Years, Brady Bunch, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Lucy, Bewitched.

Or even the '95 or '96 schedule which included Jeannie and The Munsters?

And you never even see The Brady Bunch anymore. Not that I'm complaining.. I hate that damn show.. but still. N@N wouldn't drop that for anything. Now it's gone. Jeffersons too.

Nick at Nite just sucks. And you cannot get me to turn it on, when 3 years, 2 years, and even 1 year ago you couldn't get me to turn it off.

Ok, then don't watch it GEEZ! For your info I loooove Cheers and Family Ties. All their shows are good, and Gilligan's Island went to TBS Superstation.

Personally, I think the exact day when Nick at Nite went downhill was September 4th, 2000. So many things changed during that month and it no longer felt the same. MTM and DVD were gone, Happy Days, Bewitched, Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour all got replaced by Facts of Life, N@N began doing that 2 episode in a row thing and airing the shows passed the :00 and :30 [which is usually not NORMAL for most networks]. More shows were getting eliminated than ever. It just went all downhill.
N@N's best line-up was definitely the fall 1998 one with Brady Bunch at 9, Wonder Yrs at 9:30, Happy Days at 10, Laverne & Shirley at 10:30, I Love Lucy at 11, Bewitched at 11:30, MTM Show at 12, and DVD show at 12:30. What a GREAT line-up that was. I will always remember it. Too bad N@N doesn't have those kinds of line-ups anymore. Oh well . . I guess N@N is just dieing.

N@N just sucks! Personally, they're killing "Family Ties"...I mean, starting tomorrow, it will only be on at 1 and 1:30 AM, and it came in September! I agree, now the good shows are mostly on TV Land, and the others have gone on to other places.

To bad N@N owns "three's Company" until 2007. They'll probably have taken it off by 2004 and given up the contract...and hopefully TC never ends up on the Deadly Black Bar Channel, aka TNN, aka The National Network.

While I don't really care for "Family Ties", N@N is killing it.

AND WHAT THE HECK IS WITH THEM SINCE NOW THEY'RE ADDING 'Kids Say' ON IT! IT'S NOT A SITCOM!

I like his/her line-up but some of the shows he mentioned are already on TV Land and other networks. Plus, the line-up wouldn't work right because N@N is interested in only late 70's and 80's, and possibly 90's shows.

Forgive my ignorance but is Nick@Night just Nickleodeon at night, or is it a separate channel? Cos here Nickleodeon just plays the same stuff at night as it does during the day - Sabrina, Sister Sister, Saved By The Bell and sh#t like that. I never watch Nick - apart from when Rugrats is on.

As to your question Mossop, Nick at Nite is not a separate network. It airs on Nickelodeon...it's just that at around 8-9PM (the schedule varies) they air shows for the "older" crowd, and they generally air older shows from the 60s-80s, and I guess they are airing some stuff from the 90s now too.

Yes they do suck. I love Cheers, but I love Three's Company more and miss it, even if NaN ruined half the episodes with their crummy editing.

I wouldn't really take "All in the Family" & "The Jeffersons" off Nick...I mean, in March, "The Cosby Show" will be airing on four stations here! That's worse! Also, "The Jeffersons" airs on TV Land only at 1:30 AM, and on weekdays from 7-8 PM....not the best times. And "All in the Family" only airs on weekends from 6-7 PM. Four episodes a week of AitF on TV Land.

What really doesn't make sense is that Nick has a lot of room, even though they only air old shows at nite. I mean, couldn't they just put "Kids Say the Darndest Things" on Nick? It fits there more then on Nick-at-Nite.

Here's a schedule I would use in March:

9:00 PM: "The Cosby Show"
9:30 PM: "Diff'rent Strokes"
10:00 PM: "The Facts of Life"
10:30 PM: "Family Ties"
11:00 PM: "Three's Company"
11:30 PM: "Cheers"

That way most of the shows would be seen by more people.

I can understand with TV Land why they have some repeats and why some of their shows are moved to late at nite (Even though I don't like that "Charlie's Angels" is on at 5 AM...oh well)...but with Nick at Nite, they need to learn to use their airspaces so all of their shows have a bigger chance.
