Does Columbia House offer only VHS ? Also, if you order a particular sitcom, do you get every episode of that show or only particular ones ?

Most of Columbia House's stuff is only on VHS. They have started releasing I Love Lucy on DVD, however.
As for how they're released, it varies. Some series are released in original air order, while most of them are released in "Themed" tapes. (Ie 3-4 episodes that have a theme or plot similarity make it onto the same tape).
How many tapes they release also varies. Most of the time they release 10 volumes of a series, and then if it popular enough they will release the rest. Some examples of Complete series include the Star Trek series' and I Love Lucy as well.
Series where they've released 10-20 Volumes include The Flinstones, Andy Griffith (still releasing those), I Dream of Jeannie, and Gilligan's Island.

As reported on these boards, they had planned to release Diff'rent Strokes and The Facts of Life on DVD but I guess they changed their minds. I've received 4 DS tapes, but I guess they had problems with the supplier on the FOL tapes and nobody has received any. I subscribed to Family Ties and they only released 10 tapes (episodes from various seasons) - so I think that is the norm although there are exceptions as Chad has mentioned.
