He's said it before and now he's saying it again: Alec Baldwin intends to leave NBC's "30 Rock" and his Emmy-winning role as Jack Donaghy next season when his contract is up, reports the Toledo Blade.

In an interview, Baldwin said, "I'm going to do this year then start thinking about what I want to do next. It's the big question. It's been a great experience, and I've loved doing the show. It changed my life. I'll never have it this good again, I know that. But I know that I've got to do something different, try something different. I don't know what that's going to be."

Baldwin has some projects already in the works, including the movie adaptation of the Broadway musical "Rock of Ages" and a Woody Allen movie to be shot in Rome.

But his time on “30 Rock” may have spoiled him about the kinds of projects he used to do. "I look at romantic comedies and independent films, quirky comedies, and I think I don't really appreciate them that much,” he said. “And all of this is as a result of doing ‘30 Rock,’ because I've really been completely tainted by the people I work with because they're so funny. ... It's tough to find something that's really, really well-written."

He's been saying this time and again. When will it end?

his time for being the LEAD STAR of "romantic comedies and independent films" has passed, and if he is serious about running for ANY political office other than lunchroom monitor, he is out of his freaking mind.

he should stay put for awhile longer and appreciate what he's got; the show is finally hitting its groove.
