Where are the reviews for seasons 5 and 6?

I've been waiting for Sitcoms Online to post DVD reviews for LITB seasons 5 and 6. There are reviews for seasons 1-4, but not 5 and 6. Are these reviews forthcoming or will there be no reviews?

I checked the run times for the season 5 and 6 episodes, they all seem to run about 25:30 plus or minus a few seconds. Long Distance Call from season 5, The Parking Attendants and Eddie's Sweater from season 6 run a little shorter around 25:00. One interesting thing I noticed about season 5, the episodes themselves not including the closing credits run from between 24:30 to 25:00. The shorter episodes have a longer closing credit sequence, and the longer episodes have a shorter closing credit sequence. Long Distance Call runs about 24:30, but the shorter closing credit sequence was used causing the episode to time in at around 25:00 instead of 25:30.

Some of the music is cut, and in the shorter season five closing sequences, it starts with Wally and Beaver walking down the sidewalk. The beginning part where Beaver is walking with one foot in the street and one foot on the curb, then Wally pulls him on the sidewalk as the car drives by is not seen.

However, can we confirm that the episodes minus the original sponsor ads, are being shown exactly as they were from 1957-1963? With regard to this, no edits or cuts on the DVD's?

Yes Jack the episodes are all uncut on the Shout series. If they did cut the music, so be it as long as we got the complete episode I don't care because I FF through the music and credits anyway.

As far as I know the shows are uncut, but the run times of the season 3 shows vary a little. Most of them are between 25:30 and 26:00, but a few are shorter and run only about 24:55. One odd thing I noticed in the episode "School Sweater", at the mid part of the episode Wally comes into the room and tells his parents that he and Beaver are going in the yard to dig up the gopher. There isn't a mention earlier in the episode of a gopher being in the yard, so that seems a little strange. Maybe there is an edit in this episode but I don't know for sure.

Well, as I am currently watching season 5, I can reivew it. I think it is very subpar, compared to the earlier seasons. The reason is the writing. In season 5, you have a 12 year old (they reference this numerous times in the show) who still acts like a silly 6 year old. He is still hating girls, although there was one episode where he kind of liked Penny, but the silly 6 year old won the day and he hid the fact that he liked her. This is not the fault of the actors, obviously, but watching this season, I really want to reach through the TV and slap the Beave upside the head. The train set episode is a prime example of this, where June and Beave agreed to give his old train set to a smaller kid, only Beave changes his mind and locks himself in the bathroom, after Wally gives it away, anyway. What 12 year old locks himself in a bathroom over an old train set??? As I said, the writing in this season is subpar, as far as the Beave is concerned. For the rest of the cast, it is business as usual. I just think they should have written some sort of mental or emotional growth for the Beave. Not make him an adult, mind you, but a realistic 12 year old... And he still is letting his douch-bag friends get him in trouble. You'd think he'd learn, by now. My guess is they had a tried-and-true gimmick and beat it into the ground..
