Ellen DeGeneres is back (w/ CLoris Leachman, jeez she must really need a job if she is doing a show with Ellen) with some really stupid sounding show on CBS

Yep, the Ellen Show, Fridays at 8pm Eastern on CBS. I've heard good things about it so far although I don't watch TV much on Fridays so I'll probably not watch. The supporting cast is pretty good though--Martin Mull, Jim Gaffigan, Emily Rutherford(Work With Me) and of course Cloris Leachman. Fridays are never too promising for CBS comedies Wachootalkinabout so you have that to look forward to.:-) I guess we'll see what happens.

And what exactly is so wrong with Ellen DeGeneres? The woman is a comic genius and I'm really looking forward to her new show!

Not to be prejudice, but she is a stupid ididot. Disney should trash her ride at Epcot and put in something good...

Are you basing that opinion on the fact that you don't like her shows or because you have something against her personally?
If it's cos you don't find her funny then that's ok - it's your opinion. But to call her an idiot just because you don't like her, shall we say, "lifestyle", then I think that's pretty unfair.

No, I think she had her chance at a show and she used it. You don't see Claire Danes trying to get another show, because hers sunk. Jeez, I can't stand to see someone, who's show flopped, try to get on another show that will flop very easily. Same with the new show with the guy who played George Castanza (Jason something) now has some show on ABC (don't know the name), it is going to be cancelled so easilly, all the new shows this season (Fall '01) (on NBC, ABC, UPN, WB, etc.) will sink EASY theya re all weirdl.

Fair point, but Ellen's show didn't sink - it ran for FIVE seasons! That's hardly "sunk". Similarly, this is the case with Jason Alexander. Sienfeld ran for NINE seasons. How you can think that a show that ran for upwards of five seasons is a flop? To me, that's a pretty good acheivement.
