Even though there is a storyline or two left unresolved and people will be out of jobs I think think "Two and a Half Men" should could to an end immediately.
I don't have a dog in this fight (I'm not a fan of the show, at all), but I'd really like to see CBS and Warner Bros. do the right thing: fire Sheen and cancel the show. As I said in a previous thread, it would be horrible for crew members who need the paycheck. But at the same time, cancelling the number one sitcom on television over the outrageous and inexcusable antics of its star would send a message, and hopefully set a precedent

As far as the show goes, would it be so bad if it ended? Eight seasons is a good run for a sit-com. (Besides, How much longer could the kid be a half man?) The only sad thing is fans of the show likely won't see a series finale, which most long running shows get nowadays.
As far as Charlie goes, this (hopefully) maybe the first step to steer him in the direction of reality, once he gets past his rage and denial.

I think they should try a spinoff with Jon Cryer's character. They really have nothing to lose. I don't watch the show regularly. I do think it's funny though. I love multi-camera sitcoms and this show is the biggest one out there. It is sick that the genre is being held hostage by a very sick man. I never cared for Sheen but I do think he needs help. I hope he gets it before it's too late. I don't think Sheen and Lorre can work together anymore. I think unless Sheen apologizes and gets serious help, he's through with the show.

Well I was in favor of cancelling it even before Sheen's issues, but I just don't care for it. To each his own.

I don't really watch the show, but I don't think it's right for everyone else to suffer and lose their jobs because of the antics and juvenility of one man.
Keep the show going for one more season and FIRE SHEEN. IMMEDIATELY.

I've always thought Rose, Jake, Berta and Alan were the funny ones, so carry on without Charlie.

Two questions first: I'm not anti-sex. But honestly, isn't that all this show comes down to virtually every time? Who's great with the ladies (Charlie), who's inept with women (Alan).
Secondly: Why then do I watch it? There's not much else on TV. I honestly enjoyed TV pre-cable, satellite more. "As someone recently said, "Wherever crap becomes the normal standard, mediocrity is king."
I know, young SO members. My age is starting to show. I'm sounding like my own parents to some extent, and thought I never would be saying the same things. :) I think for "Two and a Half Men to Survive", it should change its format somewhat, just how I don't know. The writers and producers could think of ways to transition the show into a new and better phase. I don't want to see the cast lose their jobs either.

I'm not a fan of the show (even though my brother LOVES it), so I would shed no tears if it were to end altogether. That said, I feel bad for the crew, who don't make nearly the $$$ that the actors do. I feel bad for the rest of the cast who are stuck in an awkward position. Hopefully, they'll all be able to find work again soon.

I'm also not a fan of the show, but I don't believe that Charlie Sheen is irreplaceable. I think they could easily cast someone else and shift the focus of the show.

Cancel the show. If they did it to The Wonder Years they can do it to a show on the Parents Television Council's hit list. (Heck, they can do it to EVERY show on their hit list!)

Currently all the CBS sitcoms (well counting Bleep My Dad Says for a moment instead of Mad Love) are quite centered on sex and sex jokes, in fact Swoosie Kurtz's and her bf's characters on Mike & Molly are actually more explicit than Charlie has been on the show lately so I don't see why it's always 2.5 Men that gets the singled out in this aspect. It's another story if you compare the show to ABC's current sitcoms though.
Since I'm a fan, of course I'd want production to resume with Charlie for one more season and give the show a proper ending. If that can't happen, I don't see the point of desperate spin offs like 'Joey'...

It's almost 3 Men already anyway. The show's run its course IMO.

Plus the show's been on since 2003. It's been on long enough.

Long enough. Many seem to think its so "unfair" to the other castmembers and all of the production staff. But the show can't last forever, and their jobs are going to end with-in a few years anyway. This would be a completely different issue if this show was say, in its sophmore season, and just reaching its peak when all this Charlie Sheen crap started! Then yeah, it would be terribly unfair to all these people!

Since Charlie still says he's still going to report for work, why don't they get everybody to come to work as normal and instead of rehearsing, they could have an intervention.

Oh, I think Charlie's too far gone for that to work now!

I think they are too. To me charlie is a one trick pony, same old same old every week with the character booze girls more booze and bathroom humor. They should have advanced the character a bit at least. Perhaps then it would have had some more in the tank. to me the show was near its end. But with what hes done, you NEED to fire him and end it
BTW if they did go on with out Charlie Sheen. Do you think they would go the route of killing his character off? with the 1st show of the following season be set a few weeks after his funeral and coming to grips with it,being serious for a few then him leaving everything to Berta in his will. The more Berta i see to me the funnier and now Alan living with Berta. And who would you replace Charlie with character wise, have no idea what actor you would get. But character wise maybe Berta's husband?

I think they should fire Sheen and resume production for at least one more season (maybe they could-say-say that Charlie and Rose ran off together), introduce a new character and give the show a finale-after all it's been on since 2003 and that's long enough!
Besides, since Jake's grown up it's more like "3 MEN".

Yeah, that would be good, to have him finally end up with Rose--it would end the show on a hopeful note. (Not that Charlie deserves someone as sweet as her, either in the show or real life LOL!) And I said the same thing just last night when my daughter and I were watching news coverage of Charlie's rambling interview with the Today show--Angus is getting too old for this! But we agreed it is unfortunate that the show may have to end just because of Charlie's selfishness, even if it otherwise has gone on long enough....
However, introducing a new character would have to be done carefully--anyone remember Chico and the Man after Freddie Prinze's death?

i've been a fan of the show since the start of the 4th season, and I like Charlie Sheen but I'd prefer it if they'd just replace him now - either with a different actor in his role or different characters to make up the difference. I think they should just have it so Charlie eloped with Rose to Europe, or work around it for awhile.
I don't care what Charlie does on his own time or how much he disrespects himself, but when he disrespects the people he works with and his fans that's a different story. He would've been fine and dandy if he could've just kept his big mouth shut.
