for those who have one, do you run it every night? Why or why not?

We have one, but we only run it every other night unless we have a lot of people over. With just me and my brother living here, it's not worth doing every night.

I live alone and I run my dishwasher once a week.

We mainly wash by hand but once every couple of months we use the dishwasher.

There are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Many days I have to run it twice!

This brings up my main complaint about mine, and I would like other people's input: Do you find you have to basically wash your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, or it will just bake on the bits of food left behind? Mine is only a couple years old and already I have this problem, same as I did when the previous one was dying after over 10 years of heavy use!

It's just the two of us, and I run it only once a week. I use a little brush to scrape any food off whatever goes in there.

When my mother and sister were living here we ran it almost every day. With just me, I run it once a week. I rinse the dishes first before I put them in the dishwasher.
