Archie, Mike, and even Gloria compete for stupidest member of the family when a pregnant Gloria is forced to move into her unheated house because Mike and Archie had another argument.

Yes, Edith is a dingbat, but she still shows more intelligence, maturity, and responsibility than the other three combined in solving the problem.

Actually I feel it was all Mike's stupidity and responsibility and Archie got mad because again Mike was not stepping up to be a real man by taking care of his wife. If I had been Archie, I would tell Gloria that she's more then welcome to stay until the heat was turned on but the meathead had to go. The SOB wasn't even going to take the jefferson home because it was right next door to Archie, but yet all he did was cry about wanting to get out of his house! George practically had to GIVE it to him before he agreed. What a mootch!

Hughsgirl, I agree. Many of Archie's faults can be partially excused because of his poor education, but Archie pulls his own weight and that of others besides.
