I agree Marv! And we live so close (well sort of anyway... different countries! :crazy: ) that I'm surprised we haven't done this before! But I think meeting people from the board is an awesome idea!:)

Yes, I met my best friend on here through the Chico and the Man forum. We chatted online for about a year before she came to my state (we live about a day's drive apart). She has been here several times since, my family and I have been to visit hers, and her parents in yet a third state. We (along with our families) have also traveled to other places together.

Most notably, she and I went ALONE to NYC twice the same summer to see a fellow CATM fan portray Freddie Prinze in a stand up comedy show (the first time), and then with his own comedy troupe.

I haven't met anyone either. I think what would be good is if we have multiple conventions closer to everyone geographically in key states:

California/Nevada
Florida/Georgia/Alabama
New York/New Jersey/Connecticut

I would love it. A convention here in NYC would be fabulous.

Yes when I got to go to NYC twice with my Sitcoms Online friend, I liked it alot better than I thought I would. Not nearly as scary as I expected, even though both comedy clubs were not in the greatest areas.

Ok I got one for you all. I have met someone from here and now he is my husband. about 8 years ago I came on this site and about a month later this guy (his username is -three'scompanyrules) started talking to me because he noticed I was from the same state he was. (Nebraska) So we talked and kept talking for about a year then we realized we didn't live that far from each other so we decided we wanted to meet each other. We went with a couple of our friends to the mall and met and had a great time. So we talked a couple more times online and decided we wanted to see each other again and this time we met alone just the two of us. We had such a great time we decided we wanted to keep seeing each other and 8 years later we got married. So try and beat that! ;)
