Erm...."why did the chicken cross the road...?" isn't pun - it's a joke.
I used to know tonnes of puns and stuff but I've forgotten them all in my old age. I don't know if this counts as a pun but it is a play on words and I found it quite funny -

"Time flies like an arrow.
Fruit flies like a banana."

Think about it - it's funny!

It's hard to explain things like this but I'll give it a shot-

Well, "Time flies like an arrow" is pretty self-explanatory. Meaning 'time goes by really quickly'.
"Fruit flies like a banana" doesn't mean that the fruit actually flies. It means that fruit flies (i.e. those little insects that eat fruit) like bananas.

It's just a play on words. Does it make sense now or have I confused you even more?

Yes I know it's not. I'm trying to think of anything to post. I'm trying to reach 3,500 before midnight on New Years Eve. Gimme a break. I'm 12. I don't know any good puns. I don't even know what the hell they are. :p

Sorry dude, you're obviously under a lot of stress trying to reach your 3,500 :p
FYI - a pun is "humourous use of word to suggest different meanings". So now you know :)
