Happy 40th anniversary to All in the Family. I was reading the local paper in Minneapolis and USA TODAY and there was no mention about the anniversary of the TV sitcom that was groundbreaking and controversial. It finally opened the door to subjects that were never mentioned on shows like Father Knows Best, Ozzie and Harriet and Leave it to Beaver.
OH Nuts!

And no marathon by TV Land since they currently have the rights to the show.

I was in college when it first came on, and I've only seen about half a dozen episodes. I'm watching it for the first time on Youtube, now, and this show is rip-roaring hilarious.

I never really wanted to, it wasn't being shown in my area, it struck me as a show that I wasn't interested in, etc. But I kept hearing about it, and out of curiosity, I watched the first episode on Youtube, and it was so rip-roaring hilarious that I try to watch one episode a day now.

Shows how lame-a** TV Land is. I'll take my DVDs over tired out-of-touch TV channels any day.
