ABC has announced a new web-based spinoff from comedy-drama Cougar Town.

The webisodes, entitled 'Andy's Dreams', will focus on the character of Andy Torres (Ian Gomez) as he takes a daily siesta.

Each episode will be comprised of one of Andy's dreams, which take place in "an escapist and over-the-top fantasy world".

A new installment will premiere on the show's official ABC website each Wednesday evening for the next six weeks.

Cougar Town - which also stars Christa Miller as Andy's overbearing wife Ellie - continues on Wednesdays at 9.30/8.30c on ABC.

...the "Magnificent Muttley" segments seen at the end of "DASTARDLY & MUTTLEY IN THEIR FLYING MACHINES" on CBS' Saturday morning schedule in 1969-'70 (while napping, Muttley imagines himself as the center of a "heroic situation", until Dick Dastardly snaps him out of it while snapping at him). In this instance, "Andy's Dreams" won't actually be a part of "COUGAR TOWN". Interesting idea, though....

It's just webisodes. Plenty of other ABC series has had these. Grey's Anatomy had Seattle Grace Message of Hope this season and Seattle Grace On Call last season. I believe Cougar Town already has had few webisode series such as Ask Barb.
