I heard about aliens and stuff on this one talk show that comes on at night, called coast to coast am. They talk about government holding info and have psychics on and numerologists and that sorta stuff on. Is that where you get your info JWillight? I really don't know if I believe in it though.

Well, JWillhight, you won't get any respect from these skeptics. I've already told you my view on this:The galaxy is bigger than we could ever explore in 16 lifetimes even traveling faster than light. And thats just our own galaxy. So certainly there could be life on other planets!


If we are truly holding an alien prisoner, we'd better hope the species is a peaceful,forgiving species and that they won't blow us up over a little misunderstanding like dissecting. I once saw a show where they said the government may be working with aliens. And that may very well be possible. They could be our guests. Still, I believe we have a right to know what is going on in our own backyard!

OMG, this whole topic brought up another thing I heard. When my mom was younger and living out in Florida. She was hanging out with some friends, and they saw a U.F.O., they reported it, and was told it was nothing but a weather balloon. It wasn't a weather balloon though, it was a cover up. No, she and the friends were drinking or smoking that night.

Prove that there is a god, you can't! So actually you would be false Adam & Eve were the first people so therefore they created Earth but I can't prove that. I guess nobody really knows for sure ;)

If you believe Adam and Eve were the first people on earth, generally that means you believe there is a God because otherwise you believe in the Big Bang Theory and all that evolution stuff. (I'm Christian, and I believe GOD in Heaven made both the heavens and the Earth, and everything in both, so I think the rest is crap~but that's me.)

I also want to add that for some reason, a lot of evolutionists go to try and disprove the existance of God and end up turning into believers rather than disbelievers. Don't make me go into that, we'll be here forever and not only am I entitled to my opinion, but YOU are entitled to YOUR opinion...so I'm not here to MAKE you believe anything...just like JWillhight isn't going to change the minds of any and all skeptics.

Like I said, I'm staying out of this topic, but I DO want to say that if this is a topic to discuss aliens and the like, please don't try to prove they exist by saying there is no God or bringing the whole religion thing into it, because that's two different topics entirely.

I respect the belief that there may be aliens, I just don't share it. And if I see something that appears to threaten the belief in God, I WILL speak out...that's just how I am.

I don't think aliens would look like that. That looks like an ordinairy space alien you would see in a movie or something. I've often pictured aliens to look like the image of a human. I know that sounds strange, but I think they would look like a human lifeform.

I gotta add my two cents in here. This reminds me of a true story that happened a few years back.

A young Christian was in college. He was taking a course (I don't remember now what that course was) anyway, this professor that he had always liked to prove that he knew all and that there was no God. I was a scientist through and through. Well, this kids knew about this professor and took his class anyway.

On the first day of class the professor flat out asked who believed in God. The other students, knowing this professors reputation for making the semester horrible for anyone who said they believed in God, did not answer. This young Christian however, stood up and said he believed in God.

You should have heard this professor go on and on ranting and raving about how stupid he was because there was no God and he could prove it.

He went on to say and I quote, "I can not see God, I can not hear God, I can not smell God, I can not taste God, and I can not touch God, therefor there is no God."

He looked smugly at the student. The student stood there for a second and responded this way, "Professor, I can not see your brain, I can not hear your brain, I can not smell your brain, I can not taste your brain, and I can not touch your brain, therefor Professor you have no brain." There was total silence in the classroom while the professor stood there fuming. He turned around and walked out of the classroom went to the deans office and quit.

In my opinion, I think there must be other life out there. I mean, the universe is SO great, it is hard to believe that this is the only planet to have life on it. As to if any have come here, I don't know. As to are they kept in Area 51, I say no. Area 51 is a place that they are developing new planes and such for the military. For years people have been seeing lights flying overhead, etc... Most of those are afterburners to military aircraft that they are test flying. The government never tried to disuade the idea of aliens because it was a good cover for what was going on there.

This picture of the alien reminds me of one of the band members in the Star Wars movie. The band was called the Max Rebo Band. It reminds of of the Bith Barquin D'an. Here is his picture.

Let's say you were living in the 1500s would you have thought that there were other planets other than Earth? I think not! But is it true? YES! Sooo, you see, it takes time to discover such things. LoL, well, aren't we humans so conceited? This ever enternal spirit that we say is in charge of the entire galaxy decided to screw the rest of the thousands of light years worth of space, and only make our little planet to have life. Just us! Don't we feel special?

I'm sorry, but a lot of other things some people have said agitate me too, but I don't feel like quoting them all.

I have always been open minded to everything, religions, soceity, and even the idea of aliens. I belive that you shouldn't critize anyone else belives b/c you yourself have just as much proof as they do that they are right and you are wrong.

I think God laughs at us alot. Yes, I think God laughs at the ''ever holly christians" too. I've never been a Christian myself, but I've always belive that there is a God. But I don't belive that he intervenes in our life everysingle second. I think created life, and then stepped back and let it operate on it's own. I do belive in natural miracles, and I do belive that people can have near death experiences, but I think when they say they "saw the light" it was just an hallucenation, I really don't think God would be that clique.

Every single thing that you just said is right on in my opinion. My parents are Baptist and I tend to disagree with them on just everything in their interpretation of the Bible. I whole heartedly believe that aliens exist. They universe is simply too expansive for there to not be other life, in my opinion. In reality, the universe is far too complex for any human mind to even begin to comprehend, so no one is right and no one is wrong. Being humans, though, of course we try to understand. Religion is one way to comprehend it, science is another.

I don't understand why religion and science always seem to be so diametrically opposed to one another. I don't understand why people seem to think it is going against their faith in God to consider that other planets may have life.

I do think there are many things on a wide variety of issues (not just aliens) that our government keeps from us. Even when they are forced by law to release documents to the public, many portions of those documents are blacked out. However, I do not necessarily think this is always a bad thing. I do not think that a government has an absolute and unwavering obligation to reveal all things to its public at all times. However, at this point in time, I don't really see what the harm would be in revealing information about aliens, if the government has any, to the public. I do not think there would be mass hysteria. I think our society is too forward-thinking and open-minded and perhaps even too jaded to be terrified of the concept of aliens. Think about it, if War of the Worlds was broadcast today, people would not be panicking in the streets.....most people would probably let out a light hearted chuckle before they changed the channel.

I agree. There is room for both science and faith. Actually, a combination of the two may be better! I believe some world renown scientists were believers in God. I can't remember the names,though.

1)I'm a Christian, so I do believe that God created life. But I am open to believe that there may be life out there, I just don't know where and what kind. I also believe that if there is life out there, I don't think that aliens will look like the way Hollywood makes them look like, those are just movies, and no offense to you JWillhight, but all those pics look so fake, but thats just my opinion.

2)And second, humans are not the only living things on this planet. There is a whole variety of species inhabiting this planet, so I would not expect alies to look like us because we are the only ones sending rockets out into space, so don't expect aliens to look like the ones in Men in Black or those other movies.

3)I highly doubt that we sent a man to Mars before we sent a man to the moon. I mean to us, the moon is so far away, and even in the 60's the technology was not so great, but yet just good enough to land on the moon. It would take 10 times longer and 10 times as much fuel to get to Mars, and there is no way that a spacecraft in the 60's, would have made it to Mars with that technology. And as Max Whittaker said, I think that the media would have gotten a hold of it. I mean I think someone would have noticed that a rocket was going into space. You can't exactly hide a thing like that from the public.

There is evidence out there that shows Aliens do exist. There are lots of people who have had contact with Aliens, And Thousands and Thousands of Ufo Sightings. Space goes out Millions and Millions of Miles. There are possible hundreds or even Thousands of Planets out there in Space and is Earth the only one with life? People who claim to have been abducted by Aliens have took lie detector tests to prove that there story is real. But Why is it that people still don't believe it? Maybe people are afraid to believe the truth?? Maybe people are afraid to beileve that there is other life out there besides on earth.

Lots of the people who have taken these tests could have been crazy. Also, lie detector tests aren't always accurate. There have been lots of people who claim to see UFO's, but TV shows and websites often exaggerate all this "government hiding the truth" buisness. Good Greif! This is the U.S.A. not A***anastan! Besides, I don't beleive there has ever been enough "proof".

Just to make sure nobody gets me wrong. I'm not saying it's immpossible for aliens to exist. It's very possible. God's power is infinite. I just don't think anybody has ever found enough proof to prove that there are any nearby. And if there are, I'm guessing that they are probably WAY differant from most of the ideas of aliens people have. I don't know, though.
