I just found out that my aunt died last Monday. She passed away peacefully
in her sleep. She was 94. She was the last of four sisters. She outlived my
mother and two other sisters. Although I hadn't seen her in years, I still feel
a deep sense of loss. Since I live alone with my dog now, I especially feel
lonely during the holidays. So, to all who are reading this, cherish your
loved ones each and every day.

I feel so sorry about this, Karl. My dog died last week and it's hard to see my parents at their house right now.:(

My deepest condolences, Karl. It is indeed very hard to have little or no close family. Your message about appreciating loved ones while they are here is so very true.

Take care of yourself. My belief is that your aunt and all your loved ones are still with you, just separated by an invisible veil, and that some day you will all be reunited.

My condolences. All losses hurt, but they sting more this close to Christmas. God bless.

What I remember most is her sense of humor, esp. when she was younger.
She loved life and loved people. Anyone who met her liked her, for it was
impossible not to.

So sorry about your loss... and yeah, it always does seem to hurt just a little more when it happens around this time... but it does sound like you have some great memories of spending time with her. That always helps, remembering all the good times and fun you all had.

You certainly have my sympathy for your loss. Hang onto those memories; they will help keep her alive on this planet, while you wait to see her in the next life.
