My teacher is planning to take his 14-year-old brother to NYC over the winter vacation...Where in NYC would a 14 year old boy want to go? Besides the typical Madison Square, Central park and Chelsea Piers...?

you can't go to nyc without seeing a play. it's a no no. i mean.. how could you?! (the theatre major in me is speaking...) but seriously, suggest that. i'm not sure what play/musical a 14 year old would enjoy off the top of my head tho.. hmm... i'll think about it.

14 year old to see a Broadway show...take them to AIDA or Phantom of the Opera, I guarantee they will have fun at one or the other depending on their taste in music. (If they like newer things I'd say take 'em to AIDA at the Palace and you can do the student rush to get $20 tickets in the front rows.)
What else to do in NYC? There's Rockefeller Center, FAO Schwarz, the new Toys R Us with the huge Ferris Wheel, Empire State Building...MACYs in Herald Square is fun only cuz it's huge...
Anything else? I see these things daily/weekly, so I forget a lot too...lol.

I am 22 years old and it's still hard for ME to be there at Ground Zero. I wouldn't take a 14 year old there. Hell I wouldn't take ANYONE down there while they are still pulling out bodies unless they HAVE to go there for something.
Not a good idea.
