I was hoping someone could give me some info on a case. This one aired long ago back during the early days of UM. I apologize as I usually remember details of UM cases better than this but I have not seen this one in years.
The segment profiled an elderly black man who vanished near a small town after he seemed to have suffered from a stroke. He was last seen I believe at an ice cream parlor in the town and was saying something to the clerk about his wife (who I believe had died years before) and he had to pick her up. Some time later, the mans car was found sitting in the woods with several stacks of twigs and branches sitting either in the back seat or just outside the car.
while the case seemed as simple as the man simply had a stroke (or something like that) and wandered off into the woods, there was also at least some hint of foul play being involved as I recall.
Does anyone have any info on this? Without knowing names I can't do a very good search on it. This one has always bothered me since I was a kid. I am hoping it was solved.
