CANTON TWP. — A Tennessee man was arrested Friday, accused of calling 911 repeatedly to ask for a ride.
James E. Brophy, 51, of Sevierville, Tenn, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Friday was arrested in the 2300 block of Faircrest St. NW by Stark County sheriff’s deputies on a felony charges of disrupting public services, Stark County Jail records said.
Jail records said he was arrested after he was told repeatedly to stop calling. The records did not name the destination to which he wanted to be driven.
The charge against Brophy is a fourth-degree felony punishable upon conviction by a maximum sentence of 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine.
