I found a video while web surfing recently. I also found a Websleuths thread on the case, (see here (http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27787&page=5) but it looks he has still not been identified. Anyone have further info on this case?

I've wondered about this for a while, too. I hope he was, and that his family and friends were notified :(

What are the odds that you would meet two girls both with the first name Caroline?
I don't think Caroline T. and Caroline O. are the names of two girls. They mean something else. Maybe a nickname.
I've also wondered if that number is a pager number.

Yeah, I agree. And unfortunately, those names could seriously mean any random number of things. They could be code for absolutely anything.

Not to mention, even if they ARE actual names...how many Caroline Ts or Caroline Os are in this country? And even Canada...:(

This case hasn't been solved yet, unfortunately.
I think that he was a throw-away, maybe disowned by his family or kicked out for whatever reason.

Wow...so, just to get this straight, the boy was adopted when he was 3, ran away from his adoptive family, and they never went looking for him? If it is a match, that would explain a lot. It's a good thing the biological mom is still out there looking for him. Also, it's a little weird that his name is Jason. I really hope this is resolved. It would be so sad for his mother, of course, but this guy deserves an identity.

Crazy link. Thanks for posting.
As an adopted kid, I find it so hard to believe that someone could just NOT look for their kid and say that "oh, he was never part of the family so we didn't go out looking for him."
Crazy coincidence about his name being Jason and the note saying "Jason." Hope it's him and that his birth mother gets closure. It's nice to know that SOMEONE is looking for him.

You know, this issue came up the other day. My coworker was telling me that her sister-in-law has never bonded with her 7 year old adopted son. He's had behavior problems to the point of being placed in a psych ward. She said that she's never shown him any affection in front of her, etc. I understand it might be hard with a kid with behavior problems, and I probably have no business judging, but it doesn't seem right that someone like that should be adopting. Maybe it's a similar situation.

Sadly, the biological mother's DNA may just be a formality to prove that Jason Reynolds is NOT Jason Doe. I've been following the Jason Reynolds connection on Websleuths for awhile, and they had ruled out that he was not Jason Doe last August via dental records. However, they're still going to a do DNA comparison to be certain before they conclusively rule him out. It would be nice if they were a match, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.
Interestingly, Jason Reynolds' sister just posted on Websleuths yesterday to say they're probably not the same person because Jason was a country music fan and wouldn't be likely to attend a Grateful Dead concert.

That is unfortunate.

Too bad, because the circumstances suggested it was possible.
This case and the South Carolina couple are similar in that it is so strange that nobody seems to be looking for them. I wonder if they were all products of foster care or state homes where you develop little in the way of roots, and kind of just slide into adulthood silently.

Darn. I saw it and got hopeful. Few things depress me more than the John/Jane Doe cases.
I made a video for Jason on Associated Content some time back. I got a message there from someone stating they believed they were his biological mother. She claimed to have submitted DNA and was awaiting the results. it has to be the same woman. At the time, I wasn't sure if her post was genuine or not.
Here's the video and the comment for anyone who is interested

I hope it is the women's son that left the reply on your video. I hope she's not someone just getting a cheap thrill from associating themselves with something so tragic.
Would be fantastic to finally know who he is...while watching your vid, I just kept thinking to myself HOW could he have went unidentified for so long?
