Do anyone of you keep either a journal or diary?

I keep a journal. I think its a really good think to keep and I think everyone should start one. Its fun looking back and seeing what you thought on a certain or exactly a year ago. I need to write in mine more often though.

I couldn't keep it up though...always forgetful to put in new entries. Now I just write when I feel like it...which ends up on odd pages...of odd journal type books.

I used to.. but I gave up when my mother found it. I got grounded because I had some.. erm..pretty bad stuff in it. Let me put it that way. Although it was my fault for not locking it.. but then again my mother is an -ahem- and invades my privacy...

That sucks. You should've told your mother to naff off - she has no right to ground you cos she shouldn't have been reading your diary in the first place. I used to keep a diary but now I don't cos my parents are nosey - ahem's - too!

Same here. Last October or November. At the time, I was going through depression, and my dad searched my freakin' room and read my freakin' diary. It only had a few entries, but they weren't happy thoughts. THEN he had the nerve to accuse me of cussing in it. Well, I read it over afterward. I didn't use one cuss word. I didn't even say damn or hell.... I have never forgiven him for that. And, needless to say, I don't keep a journal anymore.

Yeah, I kept a diary when I was younger. Mom found it and read through it. Now I keep a secret diary. I only write in it when they aren't around. Kind of sad we can't have any privacy at all....

I know. This world is just a sad place lol. I need somewhere to hide my new one. If any adults find it I'm screwed...

Hide it under a rock. Thats the last place they will look.
And you know, they only search for it because they love you. They want to make sure you aren't getting yourself into trouble.
Still, it is privacy we're talking about... I know I won't butt into my childrens lives that way. There are other, less hurtfull ways of finding out what they are up to.
But hey, don't be so hard on your parents for caring about you! It may be better if you were to tell them not to read your diary and suggest alternatives. Oh well.

I have a diary but I never write in it.

lol......I don't know too many people that have rocks in their rooms...but ok. If you have a painting hanging in ur room, or a picture frame type thing, there is always this brown paper bag type stuff on the back, and if you open it just @ the top, you can hide ur journal behind the picture.

LOL I don't have a rock in my room...but that's a really good idea about the painting thing. I'll try that.

Thanks!

And then when your mom discovers what you did to the frame, you'd be in even worse trouble.

I use to have one but my mom looked in my room and mad because I wrote that I hated my life and a bunch of other depressing things about my terrible life.So now my parents think I'm crazy.Luckly she only found part of it (I wrote in a notebook) I burned the rest of it and keep my depressing thoughts to myself.

Let's see, I had two when I was young (about 10-11) that I wrote in occasionally, and I also have a couple on opendiary. I keep a spiral notebook now, and have been keeping it since last September. I guess I'm lucky, my parents never tried to read mine (not that I had anything interesting in there anyway lol).

Sorry if bumping this up annoyed some of you... Anyways, yes I do I have a journal that I have been writing in since December of 2001 when this post was made, I saw a diff journal post on here and it convinced me to keep one. I wrote in April last but I just started writing in it again in Septemember, I think its cool because I get to let all my feelings out and just see like what I was thinking a while ago. Yes, my brother went from page to page reading it and he said " you cuss huh?" and " you tried pot once huh?" I was so pissed off because he read everything I put in there!! So I stopped writing in there but I'm writing again in the same one, its cool. I hide it under my bed now. :D

My online on is at: http://cslrockapella1162.blogspot.com

Ive got like...4 regular writing diaries that I dont even use. Seriously, I was like 8-12 when I used them..some of the stuff I wrote:rolleyes: ::
Dolly Partons boobs
Me being adopted (Im NOT!)
Me eating Mac & Cheese
Something about my mother lip syncing to that song *How Do You Talk to an Angel*
Blah blah blah...
So, I stopped writing them (Like those things arent a few good reasons to stop!). I trust my parents (my Dad more than my mother) -although I hate it when they go into my room. I have an online journal, but its nothing like a real diary. I dont put my deppest wishes etc. and secrets. Its open to the public. Hell, Id like for people to read it, but its kinda boring --even when I TRY to exciten it. Oh well. I finally realized that theres just no excitement in my life..and when there is, its either bad, or ends before I knew what it was.

Does anyone know of a PRIVATE online diary? Where it doesnt have to be public? I have that one @ LJ, but would like a different diary for different subjects. I dunno, Im not exactly the deep person type, I just kinda keep things to myself, but I wanna start writing things down. Id rather have it online, because ever since I got out of school, Ive hardly had to write @ all and I love it!

I do keep a journal its in a little notebook i have. I have never had the problem of my parents reading my journal. when I was younger. They never trusted me but they also could never find where I hid it.

lol I'm the one that put that link up on a diff post, I'm using it to make a site with HTML not a diary (lol) and it doesn't do that to me.
