YUMA, Ariz. (AP) — U.S. Border Patrol agents say they seized 45 bundles of marijuana found inside a tractor-trailer at the Arizona-California border.

Agents stopped the Freightliner at the Highway 78 checkpoint near Blythe, Calif., at about 10 p.m. Wednesday and did a secondary inspection after a Border Patrol canine team smelled something in the cab.

A search of the semi revealed about 580 pounds of marijuana hidden inside the truck's sleeping area. Authorities say the drug had an estimated street value of $464,000.

The 43-year-old driver of the rig was arrested and turned over to Drug Enforcement Administration officials.

Exactly. Even if they were smart enough to hid the stuff in clever wa(s) the dogs would likely sniff it out. As in lots of woof woof woof while pointing at the interior of a seat cushion or wall paneling for example.
