View Full Version : I think I'm dealing with a deadbeat at ebay. What am I going to do?

On Friday I won something at ebay. I'm very prompt at getting out the email with my shipping address, how I'm going to pay for the item, and all that stuff.

Well, on Friday I saw something at ebay that I wanted. It was Buy It Now, so I won it immediately without having to go through bidding. I email the guy with all my information and asking him to send me his shipping address and such.

By Saturday night, I still hadn't got a reply from him. I email him again, this time I posted at the top of my message "Don't know if you got the first email, thought it would be best to email you again". I still haven't got an email from this guy.

I'm thinking about emailing him again til Tuesday or maybe Wednesday. If he hasn't sent out a reply by then, I'm just going to email him and tell him to forget it, and to relist the item.

I'm kind of scared to deal with this guy now. If he is this slow on emails, then lord knows what he would do if he got my money and never sent out the item. I would be so pissed. I just don't want to risk him giving me negative feedback.

This isn't the first time this has happened with him. I read through his feedback, he has a total of 3,000 and such. Out of the 3,000 feedbacks, 18 are negative. Most of the 18 negative feedbacks involve the person sending an email to this guy and never getting a reply.

Do you think I'm doing the sensible thing? Help I need advice!

I'm just assuming here, but the pic is autographed. I'm just assuming that the guy wanted an out of sight price and wanted a ton of money for it, and probably disappointed that I bought it now at the cheap price.

Any and all advice will be very helpful!

I doubt that is the case, becasue if it were he probably wouldn't even have listed it as a Buy It Now item, and also, he could have set a reserve price.

I don't know what to tell you to do. Everyone I"ve ever dealt with on eBay replied to me in no more than 2 days, I'd say. I would say, give him until Tuesday to reply, like you said. That sounds good. Because maybe he was out of town for the weekend and just hasn't checked his e-mail or something.

Dont worry yet. I won something on a Friday and didnt get an email til Monday afternoon. You guys have three business to discuss the shipping and things so dont worry about it yet. I always wait for them to email me anyways... I quit emailing people first. I dont think you have anything to worry about yet.
