In honor of Christmas I am making a Christmas CD filled with carols and Christmas songs of all types, and YOU can help! (In fact, I'd appreciate your help.)

I want to make a mix so if you guys can list your favorite songs from Christmas and perhaps the singer as well if you know it, that would be really helpful! I mean I have some ideas, but I know there's tons I'm forgetting.

I get the task of making these CDs to send to my friends, and hey if you guys want a copy when I get the thing done, let me know. I'll burn you a copy and send it out when I get done.

I roped you guys in with the title thinking I hate Christmas, right? Hee hee hee, I don't hate Christmas, not yet anyway. I might even get a WHITE Christmas for the first time in my whole 22 years of living. Woo HOO!

LOL, interesting title for a topic!

I enjoy "I'll Be Home for Christmas," and you could probably burn Lisa Whelchel's version of it...it's very good. Other than that I love all Christmas songs... Reba Macentire's version of "I Saw Momma Kissing Santa Clause" if fun-loving and then there is one by Dolly Pardon that's uplifting, but the name escapes me at the moment. Can y'all tell I love country music?:)

How about a Shot of Good King Wensceslas?

For he looked out

On the Feast of Stephen

Whatever that is.

And as I leave I ask:

Who's Stephen?

Last Christmas would be great!! I like the original George Michael..but the Darren Hayes version isn't bad. There are some TERRIBLE versions- Dexter Freebish, no matter how much I love them, I HATE THEIR COVER OF IT!! AHH And on one of the boy bands did one. I think it was nsync and that one is acapella...I dunno, just doesn't sound right. There's a DJ epic version floating around, it's REALLY weird. whatever, don't mind my mindless rambling...

I love anything by Martina McBride. I have her Christmas CD. "Do You Hear What I Hear" is an awesome song by her

So far guys these are the songs I have put for the CD so far:

4 versions of Carol of the Bells (one jazzy, one full instrumental, and 2 with voices) cuz I cant pick yet
Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire ~ Nat King Cole
Do you hear what I hear? ~ Martina McBride
Good King Wenceslas ~ Celtic Christmas version
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas ~ Bing Crosby
I saw Mama Kissing Santa Claus ~ Reba McEntire
I'll Be Home for Christmas ~ Frank Sinatra
Jingle Bell rock ~ Bobby Helms
Last Christmas ~ Darren Hayes
Rockin Round the Christmas Tree ~ Brenda Lee
So this is Christmas (Happy Christmas) ~ John Lennon
Walkin Round in Women's Underwear (parody of walkin in a winter wonderland) ~ Twisted Radio Parody

the Lisa Whelchel version of that one song isn't out on Morpheus anywhere, so that isn't happening. Come on guys, think of a few more eh? (This might end up being a 2 CD set.) Thanks for your input so far! I got a great variety of old, new, country, pop, alternative...etc, just what I was lookin for!

Well, I was going to suggest "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" sung by Brenda Lee, but you already have that, so.... how about Bing Crosby's "White Christmas"? Gotta love him! (ROFL... My sister thought he was black... sorry, guess ya had to be there, but it was just too funny)

::wipes a tear from her eye:: The topic name reminds me of "A Christmas Carol". Well, I mean, it most likely reminded everyone of a Christmas Carol, but I spent 2 hours today tearing down our set for the "Christmas Carol" we put on this weekend. I was on stage crew. I spent three weeks staying after school, even went for 5 hours on the first day of Thanksgiving break. And now it's over. And I am sad. Too bad we don't do more than one show this year. But next year my school does three, so I guess that's something to look forward to. For the rest of this year I'll be on the freshman debate team, though, so I won't be too bored. Oops, guess I rambled too much.

To make this post more useful, I'll now suggest another song... Oh wat, you already have Frank's song on there too. Well, you think of everything!

Welp, Christmas is only 13 days away (12 for Christmas eve) and I gotta ask if anyone wants a copy of this album yet, plus see if there are any songs that someone wants to add still, just in case.

It won't really be much of anything fancy, just a green or pink case/CD that has the songs on it, with a little booklet that lists all the songs and artists in order. And don't forget, this might end up being a 2 CD set, so I might just stick in the second CD depending on all the songs requested and/or listed.

I'll post the list of songs in a new topic in case people haven't looked here. And I'll have to do it when I get home as I am at work (yeah yeah yeah i should be working...yadda yadda yadda). :p
