Hi, I am new to this forum and a fan of the Bunkers. I got to know All in the Family only long after growing up with the German version of the show (where Archie was named Alfred and Edith was Else). In Germany, it is still quite common for couples to call each other 'Alfred' and 'Else' when they are arguing. People really still use a lot of Alfred's phrases today. - Is that true in America, too? Do you remember ever calling someone in your family dingbat, meathead, or saying 'stifle'? Maybe not today but back in the 70s when the show was on?
