I'm sorry if this was mentioned before but I had always wondered when after they married into the family they still referred to Dan and Rosanne as Mr. and Mrs. Connor instead mom and dad or at the very least dan and Rosanne. In fact, it kind of bugged me (I know, weird). But, seriously, I was watching the episode where they are in the hospital and crying over Darlene's sick baby and Dan tells David that he sees him as a son, then David turns around and calls him Mr. Connor. I call my in Mother in law "mom" so I guess it seems to natural to me that anyone else would.

The reason I think that David called Dan and Roseanne Mr. and Mrs. Conner is just because he has always done that. He has always been much more respectable verses his brother Mark who had always been rude and didn't make the greatest first impression when meeting Dan and Roseanne the first time. Immediately, he called Dan by his first name and showed that he had a smart-aleck attitude which the couple did not approve of. It is not until Dan and Mark start working together do they develop a semi close bond with each other and form a friendship over time, where as Roseanne and Mark never quite see eye to eye through out the series which is why Mark never calls her anything but "Mrs.Conner" because he probably knew that if he did try to call her by her first name, at least early on in the series that she would have something to say about it. The only time that he ever called her "Roseanne" was one episode in season seven when he came home drunk and tells her, ' i'm not drunk, roseanne." he never says it before or after that. Another reason could be ' old habits die hard' perhaps they had done that way for so long they can't see themselves saying their names.
