This is a really hard thing to decide...I mean, I'm not exactly sure who I'd pick if I had to pick just one. Every person that I can think of I'd pick for different reasons. I can tell you that I've narrowed my decision down to six people: Bette Midler, Selena, Donna Summer, Shakira, Bonnie Bedelia and Cher. It would be hard to eliminate any one of them from my list. Met her! She and Stephen DeRosa were the coolest people in the whole cast. She was so sweet! Very humble and down to earth. Stephen told me I rock. (Damn straight! LOL) Anyway, Kerry was AMAZING as The Baker's Wife! She made me love the role. I adored Joanna Gleason, but she never made me go, "Oh, that's a role I'd love to play!" But Kerry did. She brought more humor to the role, and made her more... cutesy, perhaps. I'm not sure if that's the right word to describe her portrayal, but she is definitely a little spit fire of energy! Laura Benanti was amazing as Cinderella too! Ugh, the whole cast was great, really. The only person I really didn't care for in the revival was Jack's mom. And Vanessa Williams was WONDERFUL, but she's not my Bernie, so she had that against her from the get-go!

The most obvious person would be Bebe Neuwirth, but I've met her so that doesn't count. Perhaps if you said, "If you could befriend any celebrity." She would definitely be at the top of my list. She's just such a cool person and I'd bet she'd make a great friend! :D

Um, I've met most of my mentors, or a friends of sorts with some, but the one that I wanted to meet so badly that died before I had the chance was Ginger Rogers. She died when I was 10, and I was so devastated. So, yeah... if I could go back in time, I'd want to meet her.

As for people whom are alive, I suppose I'd go with... Debbie Reynolds! LOL She's so cool! I want to meet her!! (She's my only 'old movie actress' that's still alive, really! They're all dying with a blink of the eye! Hopefully, she's got a good 20 years on her... *sob*)

That's cool, thanks so much for sharing with me! I loved the cast too!!! They were all terrific, and gosh, I'd do anything to go see them again!! I thought Laura and Vanessa were great. Kerry and Stephen both sound so nice!! Hopefully I'll be able to meet them both if I ever get to New York...lol. I'm part of Kerry's fan club..lol..so I have communicated with her online just once but...y'know, not the same as actually meeting her. I adored her Baker's Wife as well... LOL, I often confuse people. I saw the show in LA (where I live) before it came to Broadway. (but i have the cast recording too, I couldn't live without it.) Kerry's fan club. It was formed at http://sondheim.hijinksdesign.com//index.php , if you want to, go there, register, and I'll tell you later through AIM or something what to do next. They have some cool Sondheim message boards there. (But of course, they aren't nearly as cool as our SO!!) And LOL, I don't know where she's from.
