Anyone remember the episode where Fred invented a reducing formula called "Fredocal" and when he drank it, he shrinks to a Tom Thumblike size? The one thing I remember about this episode is when Fred and Barney are on the Ed Sullystone Show as a ventriliquism act and the reducing formula wears off, causing Fred to return his normal, hefty size. They both got kicked out of the TV studio.

..."Itty Bitty Freddy" [10/1/64]. The most memorable part, for me, was when Pebbles thinks Daddy is her new "dolly", and he goes along with the idea...a very charming sequence. Of course, there had to be at least one "topical reference" to a current TV celebrity, and "Ed Sullystone" again appears [he previously turned up in "The Twitch"]. Kids watching those episodes these days have no idea who he's supposed to be, even though the real Ed Sullivan was on every Sunday night for 23 years. In fact, when they see the 1965 episode "The Rolls Rock Caper", they won't even get the joke about "Aaron Boulder" [a parody of Gene Barry's "Amos Burke" on "BURKE'S LAW", which was on ABC at the time "THE FLINTSTONES" were].

Oh, yes, "Fredecal" was a sly reference to a popular diet drink marketed by Mead Johnson & Company during the '60s, "Metrecal".
