I heard these would be available in May and I was wondering if anyone here was going to get one?

Not surprising they would come out with something like this, but no; I don't plan on buying one.

3D TV set? I don't want no Scooby Doo jumping out at me.

I heard about them. The will likely be expensive at first but most are saying the prices should go down by November 2010. I'll probably buy one at some point.

I haven't even upgraded to a flat-screen TV yet. A 3-D set seems very out of reach for me.

FactsFan--I am going to start a post about my HD Sony Bravia TV
As for 3-D TVs I think it is such a bunch of nonsense. For me there is so little to see in 2-D that I would hope people would boycott 3-D. This reminds me of one of my favorite phrases--If you cant dazzle them with brilliance, Baffle them with BS.

I don't see 3-D tv's selling well at all. I think they're in 3-D over kill in Hollywood and it's a fad that will fade in no time
